On Sunday the 31st May the Jubilee weekend for

Manurewa AFC.

We saw for the first time our junior coaches pull on the

mighty blue and gold jersey's and go to war against

Papakura.

The crowd  was gathering as they marched onto the field,

there was local pride at stake.

It was a hard fought battle and the crowd was going wild,

"children and all" as these warriors fought for their pride.

Full – time result

to Papakura

A penalty goal in the dying minutes by Matt Jorgensen

scored was the only point for the home side

Throughout the game Manurewa showed skills,

enthusiasm and determination but alas to no avail.

Papakura put on an outstanding performance of

their skills and trumped home successful and triumphant.

The outcome was 6 – 1 alas it was not in Manurewa’s favour, Papakura fought hard and went

home victorious.
