SPEAKERS

Aidan Anderson - Association of Security Consultants

Kidnappings, robberies and the effects of terrorism, were not the only issues dealt with by Aidan Anderson during his time as security manager within Danske Bank, but they brought about a high degree of focus into daily operations. In a career that has encompassed the design of large and complex CCTV and access control systems, Aidan moved from Westinghouse, to Northern Bank, as its Security Adviser. Over an 18 year period in the Bank, Aidan took security from a property related function into what Aidan sees as its natural home, Risk, allowing it to be recognised and governed within that regime. Establishing RedLeaf Consultancy in 2013, Aidan brings a high degree of expertise to clients, allowing them to control security, as one of many risks, within an effective governance regime.

Aidan’s professionalism is recognised by being a Chartered Security Professional and a member of both the Security Institute and Association of Security Consultants.

Michael White - G4S Secure Solutions

With twenty years industry experience and a background in operational management that includes critical national infrastructure sites, blue chip city clients and diplomatic clients across a range of industry sectors Mike moved into compliance and risk management five years ago initially as a consultant and latterly with G4S. In addition to his G4S role Mike was a volunteer Director at the Security Institute, a former Chairman of IPSA and a member of The Court of Assistants within The Worshipful Company of Security Professionals. He currently also chairs the working group at the British Standards Institute reviewing BS 7499, is a member of the group reviewing BS 7858 and is working with the Security Industry Authority as a member of the team reviewing the licence linked training requirements for the security industry. His spare time is taken up with his allotment and as a frustrated Southampton FC supporter and an equally frustrated supporter of the French national rugby team.
