Trafficing Tips

Maintaining a constant flow of traffic to your site is essential in successful online marketing. Monitoring statistics and web analytics helps to

outline the relevance of your site. The overall aim is to get vistors to your site, turn them into customers and give them a reason to return.

Here are some useful tips on how to do so:

• Link Building – create links to appropriate, interesting pages

• Keep It Relative – ensure that your target customer gets what they want from your site (chose keywords carefully, use appropriate context)

• Offer them something – consider WIIFM, use newsletters etc

• Updates – keep your site updated on a regular basis. Use blogs, forums etc to ensure higher rankings in search engines.

Benefits

There are countless advantages of marketing online, some of which include the following:

• Low Cost - companies can reach a wide audience for a small fraction of traditional advertising budgets

• Website Logs – statistics which measure who is viewing the site and for how long. In addition to this, marketers can determine which messages or offerings are more appealing to an audience and which are irrelevant.

• Popularity – As of 2007, internet marketing is growing faster than other type of media. Because exposure, response, and overall efficiency of internet media are easier to track than traditional (off-line) media, internet marketing can offer a greater sense of accountability for advertisers.
