In the U.S alone, 145 million people are taking 12 billion outdoor excursions.
These people being poorly served by current technology solutions.
Only 45% of the U.S. population is getting outside. This is a huge missed opportunity.
The outdoor online experience today is fragmented and inconsistent. Data is locked up in PDF maps across tens of thousands of outdated sites.
As a result people are having poor experiences getting outside and many people never make it outdoors.
The solution: An open data standard for park and recreation information specifically designed for visitor use applications.
