SUMO Junior Double Series

For Large Sprues and Parts

The JD Series are fitted with a double rotor which allows for processing of bulky sprues and parts as well as for higher throughput rates. e.g. largeautomotive parts: bumpers, dashboard etc.

The three models JD4, JD6 and JD8 use interchangeable cutting components.

Cutting Chamber - Rugged bolted steel construction - Double supported bearing of the shaft for vibration free operation - Open rotor with 3 moving and 2 fixed knives - Replaceable inserts on the side walls of the cutting chamber prevent wear of the walls that could arise from rotating part and sprues - Easy change of the screen by means of tensing clamps - Using both sides of the screen results in an even longer lifetime

MAS Series Beside-the-Press Granulators

Rugged Design for Continuous Operation

The MAS Series (MAS1 to MAS4) has been developed specifically for the in-linerecycling of soft to medium hard plastics.

The very compact design allows MAS granulators to be used directly beside the

injection molding machine.

The granulators can be easily adjusted to suit the individual application.

Special hopper design for tangential feeding

High quality regrind due to low rotor speed (200 rpm)

Fastest change of knives without using pre-adjustment gauge (MAS1, MAS3)

Standard pre-adjustment gauge for fast and easy change of knives (MAS2, MAS4)

Moving and fixed knives can be sharpened.

Patented tensing clamps of the rotor knives ensure fast and safe change of knives.

Pre-equipped with electrical cabinet to receive all electrical options later on.

Regrind collection bin allows manual emptying or vacuum evacuation.

The hopper and regrind evacuation bin, which are in contact with the regrind

materials, are made from stainless steel (standard).

Advantages: - Excellent regrind quality - The staggered rotor knives offer the optimal solution to “pull” parts into the cutting chamber. - The cutting force is distributed across several high-alloyed, hardened rotating knives that provide a simple scissor cut for added energy savings, along with low-noise operation and high cutting performance. - Rotating knives can be sharpened several times depending on the amount of wear. The cutting geometry of the knives allows them to be changed without any additional adjustment. - The two fixed knives can be turned four times before replacement. - Minimum downtime when changing the knives - Fast and simple cleaning

Open Rotor with 3 Movingand 2 Fixed Knives

Advantages: - The granulators produce high quality regrind and minimize dust. - A pre-adjustment gauge is included with each granulator to allow easy, quick adjustment of the knives for optimal cutting clearance. - The slanted open rotor moving knives combined with two inclined fixed knives provides a double scissor cut that once again improves the quality of the regrind and minimizes dust. - Optimal circulation of air within the cutting chamber prevents thermal degradation of the molecular structure or melting of the material. - The patented tensing clamps of the rotor knives ensure an easy cleaning procedure and maintenance. - Fast and easy cleaning

BVI Series Auger Granulator

Conventional granulator with Archimedean screw. Installation directly under the injection molding machine or under robot (with feed hopper - option). Auger opening 600 x 230 mm. The very compact and flexible designof the BVI allows for several configurations to position the granulator.Cutting chamber with open rotor design like MB models.

Safety Three electric safety devices prohibit the start-up of the granulator while open during maintenance. External safety device pre-wired in the electrical cabinet. A magnetic switch placed on the trough to ensure safety in case of below-the-press positioning or to ensure the presence of a feed hopper or safety guarding.

MC Series for Medium to Large Throughputs

The MC Series are heavy duty granulators intended for recycling beside the IMM (MC 34) and/or for centralized recycling (MC 46/MC 70) of runners, parts and various scrap.

Tangential feed cutting chamber for optimal acceptance of parts

Very good regrind quality due to reduced rotor speed (according to model 430 to 730 rpm)

Quick and easy knife maintenance with pre-adjustable knifes that can be sharpened

Herringbone rotor Fitted with 3 or 5 blades (depending on the model and/or application)

Rugged, High Performance Design

Cutting Chamber - Solid steel welded construction - Screen with standard hole diameters from 6 to 12 mm according to model and application, mounted on screen support, opened via gas or hydraulic cylinder (according to model) - Replaceable wear plate on attack side in standard configuration

Rotor - Herringbone rotor supported on 2 heavy-duty outboard pillow block bearings fitted with 3 or 5 blades - Mechanical brake

Blades - Made of high alloy hardened steel which can be sharpened several times - All blades are pre-adjustable using a pre-adjustment fixture supplied as standard, which simplifies installation and guarantees constant cutting circle and thus consistent regrind quality - Scissor style cutting for low energy consumption

Drive - Rotor driven by pulley and belt - Inertia flywheel in standard configuration

Electrical Equipment - Separate electrical control cabinet with star delta soft start (MC 46-60 and larger) - Control circuit: 24 V for MC 34 – 230 V for others

Feeding - Soundproofed feed hopper can be easily adapted for all types of feed methods – robot, conveyor or manual - Hopper opening assisted by cylinders (manual, electrical or hydraulic handling depending on the model)
