Optimal Solution for Roof DrainageSiphonic System

Advantages and benefits

Conventional System RUCIKA SIPHONIC SYSTEM

RUCIKA SIPHONIC SYSTEMRainwater is difficult to predict the time and quantity when it comes and cannot be easily controlled by humans, so it often becomes a problem if we are not prepared for it. Moreover, rain with high intensity can cause huge losses if the drainage system is not able to drain water properly, causing water to overflow and enter the building. Therefore, a capable drainage system is required. To protect buildings and their investments from bad rainwater drainage losses, RUCIKA presents the RUCIKA SIPHONIC SYSTEM product as a rainwater drainage system solution with a special design to avoid rainwater buildup on roofs / gutters.

SIPHONIC SYSTEMThe Siphonic System is a rainwater drainage system that utilizes the height of the building as a hydraulic head to create a Siphon effect that can accelerate the flow of rainwater drainage. Roof outlets that are specially designed to prevent the entry of air into the system combined with the right calculation can produce negative pressure that is able to suck water in the gutter without requiring a slope in the horizontal pipe installation. In addition, the fully utilized pipe dimensions - due to unmixed air and high flow rates - make the use of pipe material much more efficient when compared to conventional systems.

Siphonic System

Reducing the number of pipe requirements and dimen-sions to be smaller The reduced amount of material used results in a lower total installation cost.Minimizing underground pipesThe collector pipe is designed at the top so that there is no need for horizontal pipes belowMinimizing the number of downpipes on each side of the buildingSignificant savings in excavation work because almost every side of the building does not require side channels.

Minimizing the number of roof outlets Minimizing leakage and installation costs.Does not require slopingThe resulting negative pressure allows water to flow without requiring tilt.Architectural design flexibilityNo sloping and low number of downpipes, creating more free spaceSelf-cleaningBecause the water speed in the sewage pipe installa-tion reaches 6m/s, there is no sediment on the inside of the pipe.

Application

Quality Standard

When the intensity of the rainfall is light, the siphonic drainage system works like conventional drainage system.

When the intensity of rainfall is normal (rainfall according to calculation), the collector pipe will be full of water, then the water will fallat high speed through the down pipe andsuck water from the roof. This is called assiphonic action.

When the intensity of rainfall is high(rainfall exceeds the calculation), water must be channeled by the Siphonic drainage system and emergency overflow system. This emergency overflow is designed to prevent the roof from static overload and collapsing that may cause.

Roof Outlet products in the RUCIKA SIPHONIC SYSTEM refer to the EN 1253-2 standard, while the Siphonic system calculation guide for roof drainage refers to the BS 8490 standard: 2007.

The RUCIKA SIPHONIC SYSTEM func-tions as a rainwater drainage system from the roof to the end channel. Vacuum pres-sure and Hydraulic Head used in this system can increase the speed of water flow in pipe installations up to 6m/s (con-ventional system is 1.5 m/s at max) which can also produce a self-cleaning effect, so that there is no sediment in the pipe instal-lation.

RUCIKA SIPHONIC SYSTEM, in addition to increasing efficiency in materials, work and maintenance, It can also provide safety in rainwater drainage, especially when the intensity of rainfall is high.

Rainwater flows from the roof to the gutter and then enters through the roof outlet. The specially designed Roof outlet system can prevent the entry of air into the installation so that the pipe is full of water. The Siphonic system starts working optimally when water fills all the roof outlet holesAfter going through the roof outlet, water flows through the connecting pipe (tail pipe) to the collecting pipe using the RUCIKA JIS VP/AW pipe at high speed.Water flows through horizontal pipe (pipe RUCIKA JIS VP/AW).Water flows through the downpipe to the end/sewer /RUCIKA RAINWATER SYSTEM
