K-2 Sports Day

The K-2 Sports Day will be held on Friday 20 October 2017. Time: 9.20am. Children can come dressed in house colours. Parents are welcome to attend.

Yogurtland will still be delivered to all students who ordered Please Note: According to the weather forcast it could be raining on Friday - decision will be made on Thursday if the carnival is to go ahead.

Congratulations to Isabella Trindall KB who won the Colouring In Christmas Card competition that was held on behalf of the RFBI Dubbo Masonic Retirement Village. Above is her winning drawing. Their Christmas Cards will be printed with Isabella’s design.

Only two weeks to go until the school’s P&C supported fete. The students are excited to be having this fun event. Many classes would have sent home notes asking for donations of time and/or goodies to make this occasion a success. If you are unsure how you can help, please contact the class teacher.

As you may be aware - the school has an OHPS App. This App is a quick and easy access point to gain information and receive updates regarding school events. This free App is available to use on all smart devices.

Thank you to all those families who dress their child in school uniform daily. The wearing of the school’s brimmed hat is particularly important as we head into the warmer weather.

Staff have been working on a new school plan for 2018 to 2020. Some draft information regarding this will be tabled at the next P&C meeting. All parents are welcome to attend and have input into the school’s future direction.

If you know of anyone “waiting” to submit their enrolment forms to OHPS for 2018, please encourage them to do so as soon as they can. Mrs Neave and her helpers are busy planning for Kindystart which will begin on Wednesday 1/11/17.

Many of our Year 5 students are preparing their applications to run for a leadership position in 2018. This process has been communicated to the parents of these students. We wish them all the best.

Library News - Macquarie Regional Library are pleased to announce that Jade Cole is the winner of the Kindergarten to Year 2 section in the Book Week Colouring Competition and received a gift and winners certificate. The following students received Highly Commended Certificates: Shiloh Oliver, Campbelle Shipp, Alana Sherring, Sienna Peckham, Taj Parkes and Emily Wilson. Well done to all our students who participated.

FETE News

FETE Tags - Money and order forms are due back tomorrow, Wednesday 18 October.

A note was sent home asking for various items for stalls, all donations will be appreciated.

Cake Stall - We would appreciate donations of cakes, slices, biscuits etc to sell at the stall. Please provide a list of ingredients on the cake/slice. All donations are to be left in the Kindergarten area on the morning of the fete or the afternoon before.
