The Gospel promises that doing God’s will makes us “family” with Jesus, who forgives all sin and triumphs over evil. Today might be a good day for us to make some promises as well. We can promise to stop kidding ourselves about our own tendencies to selfishness and sin. We can promise ourselves to believe—really believe—that while we are not sinless, we are forgiven. Tenth Sunday in Ordinary Time June 10, 2018 Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD; LORD, hear my voice! —Psalm 130:1

PROMISES Today’s liturgy is full of promises. The reading from Genesis promises a final triumph over the power of sin and a return to a new creation. The reading from Second Corinthians promises that all who follow Christ will have to struggle. It also promises, however, that we can persevere if we but recognize that Christ is within us, renewing us daily, and giving us the courage and the strength we need to endure. The Gospel promises that doing God’s will makes us “family” with Jesus, who forgives all sin and triumphs over evil. Today might be a good day for us to make some promises as well. We can promise to stop kidding ourselves about our own tendencies to selfishness and sin. We can promise ourselves to believe—really believe—that while we are not sinless, we are forgiven. LIFE TEEN Life Teen is the Youth Ministry program for 9-12th graders at CTK Parish.

SUNDAY LIFE NIGHTS Remaining Life Nights in June are on the 17 and 24.

We meet in The Alley a er the 5pm Mass and end at 8pm. Dinner will be provided. Parent Support is needed. There will be no LIFE TEEN Tonight, June 10.

Life Night Out June 17 Life Teen will meet at Urban Air from 6:00-8:00pm.

Cost is $20 and includes Pizza. CTK Liability Waiver and Urban Air Waiver can be found on the

parish website and are due with money by June 14. Summer of Service

This summer, CTK Life Teen will be hosting a "Summer of Service." In lieu of a mission trip, we will be volunteering at local organizations

and with families that are in need in the parish. The schedule can be found on the parish website with locations and times. This is subject

to change throughout the summer. Teens should complete the bottom half of the flyer and turn it in with the Liability Waiver. Only

one waiver is needed for the whole summer. The registration is not a firm commitment but will help us get an idea of how many to expect. Teens can attend one day or all of them. Each day will be followed by

a brief lunch with discussion after in the Alley. Forms should be turned in to the parish office before participating.

EDGE Edge is the Youth Ministry program for 6-8th graders at CTK Parish.

St. Michael Catholic High School will be offering summer athletic camps for students in grades 1 through 8 in June and July.
