1. How to transfer a file from PC to iPad?
The simplest way is to use iPad USB cable and iTunes. Please make sure iTunes version you
installed is above 9.2. If your version is older one, please go visit Apple web site to get upgraded
in advance.
Connect your iPad to PC via USB cable. Then you will see the homepage, please click the
“Library” button at the upper-right corner. You will see name of your iPad at the upper-right
corner.

Click the Apps page (refer to red mark 1 as below) and scroll down to find the “File Sharing”
(refer to red mark 2 as below) and then you can find the OrganiDoc HD in the Apps list (refer to
red mark 3 as below). After clicking the OrganiDoc HD in the list, the document area at right
hand side will be OrganiDoc HD file sharing. Select “Add” button in Document area. (refer to red
mark 4 as below) All selected files will be transferred to iPad. Or you can easily drag-and-drop
the files you want to transfer to Document area. The files you select will be uploaded to your
iPad automatically, no need to click Sync.
Open OrganiDoc HD on your iPad.
Please tap “My iPad” in OrganiDoc HD.
OrganiDoc HD automatically categorizes files according to their types. The number mark on the
top buttons would show the number of files you just uploaded.
You can find those files in [My doc], [My photo], and [My video]. They will be marked by unread
blue blobs. Documents will be marked on the right side, photos and videos will be marked on
the left-upper corner.

2. How to transfer a file from iPad to PC?
Open the file you want to transfer in iPad. Click the icon in the lower left corner and choose
“Export to iTunes”.

Subsequently, the file will appear in iTunes under “OrganiDoc HD Documents”. Drag and drop
the file to desktop to transfer it to PC.

3. How to save an email attachment to OrganiDoc HD? Open the mailbox in iPad and browse to the email with the attachment you want to save.
At this point there are two ways to do it. You can press-hold the attachment for about 2-3
seconds, a dialog box as shown below will pop up. Choose “Open in OrganiDoc HD”. If “Open in
OrganiDoc HD” is not in the options, choose “Open In…”, further options will show, including
OrganiDoc HD.
Alternatively, you can open the attachment, tap on the icon in the upper right corner and then
choose “Open in OrganiDoc HD”.

Either way, you will be brought to the “Copy File to” screen, under which you can choose the
folder you want to save the attachment to.

4. How to set up Cloud account to OrganiDoc HD? Before using “Cloud Storage”, please make sure you have successfully obtained an account for
Google Drive or Dropbox. If not, go to the official websites to apply for an account:

OrganiDoc HD also supports the following cloud storage. You can obtain an account from these

In the main screen of OrganiDoc HD, tap on “Cloud Storage” and you will find several Cloud
Storages included Google Drive、Dropbox、SkyDrive、WebDav Server、Box.net、SugarSync 、
Asus webstorage and Soonr. Click the “+Cloud “button in the lower right corner to increase a
new cloud account.

If you want to delete the Cloud account, click the “+Cloud “button, click the “-”and “delete”
button. OrganiDoc HD supports multi-cloud account and code protection for cloud account.
You can set up your pass code in the setting area.
5. How to download a file from Clound Storage to OrganiDoc HD? In the main screen of OrganiDoc HD, tap on “Cloud Storage”. Choose the cloud account and the
file you want to download, tap the file and it will start to read. After reading the file you will see
an arrow at the right side. Open the file you want to download and click on the icon in the lower
left corner and click “Download to My iPad”.

If any files from Cloud Storage be updated, you will see a small blue blob at the right side of the
file. Click the file and it should be completely updated after reading it.
6. How to sync folders on Dropbox, Google Drive to My iPad? You can manage specific sync folders on cloud storages just in “My iPad”. You can even open the
updated files from “My iPad” without internet connection.
In the main screen of OrganiDoc HD, tap on “Cloud Storage”. Tap the ”Sync” in the upper right
corner and choose the folder you want to sync. Tap the ”Sync” in the upper left corner and start
to sync. Go to “My iPad” and then you can find the sync folder.
If you want to cancel the sync, tap the “UnSync” in the upper right corner in “My iPad” and
choose the folder you want to cancel. Tap the “UnSync” in the upper left corner and the folder
will not be synced anymore. Meanwhile, you can also choose if you want to delete this folder
from “My iPad”.

After setting the sync folder, you can also move the files from you “My iPad” to the sync folder.
Tap the “Edit” in the upper right corner and choose the file you want to put in to sync folder.
Tap the “Move” at the bottom and choose the cloud storage you want to move to. After
finishing those steps, the file will be synced to the cloud storage when the next sync.

You can check the sync status of sync files by different marks. Green check means the file/folder
is well synced, blue arrow means the file/folder is syncing, orange exclamation mark reminds
you the file/folder is out-of-sync. Tap the “Sync” button in the lower right corner of the main
screen and the sync process will start.

7. How to transfer a file from OrganiDoc HD to Cloud Storage, or email it out? There are two ways to upload or email a file in OrganiDoc HD:
The First Method:
In OrganiDoc HD, go to “My iPad” or “Protected File” and open the file.
Tap on the export icon in the lower left corner, a dialog box will pop up as shown.

Choose “Upload to Cloud Storage”, and then choose the specific storage. For GoogleDocs and
Dropbox, the following screen will appear while the file is being uploaded:
Instead of the export icon, if you tap on the email icon, the following email screen will appear
for you to send the file via email.

The Second Method:
In OrganiDoc HD, under the“My iPad” or “Protected File” file listing, tap on the “Edit” button in
the upper right corner:
Choose the file you want to upload or email out, and tap on “Share” in the bottom row. You will
have options of Email or Upload to Cloud Storage.

For Google Docs and Dropbox, the uploading will be automatic. For email, the following email
screen will appear:

8. How to sync files using iCloud? Since Apple rolled out iOS5 and iCloud, OrganiDoc HD has followed suit to empower OrganiDoc
HD users to backup documents, photos and multimedia files to iCloud, even sync-up with the
iPhone version of OrganiDoc. The greatest advantage of iCloud is preventing data loss. After
backing up files to iCloud, in case OrganiDOc HD is inadvertently deleted, iCloud wil
automatically restore the previously backup files onto the reinstalled OrganiDoc HD.
Before proceeding, please go to iPad “Settings” and make sure your firmware is iOS5 or above,
and you have an iCloud account (Apple ID). If you want to sync to OrganiDoc on iPhone, make
sure you have the same iCloud account setup in your iPhone. After input your iCloud account
(Apple ID), please turn on “iCloud Drive” (or “Documents & Data” in old iOS) and then the iCloud
setting is done.

First, go to “My iPad” and tap on “Edit” in the upper right corner.

Choose the files you want to sync up, and tap on the iCloud icon on the top.
During the sync process, a grey iCloud icon with dotted outline will appear to the right of the file
name. The file has been transferred to iCloud and synced up with OrganiDoc on iPhone when
the outline of the icon becomes solid.
Open OrganiDoc in iPhone to verify the files have
been synced up.

9. How to use “My iPad”? Automatic categorization of files is one of the powerful features of OrganiDoc HD. Files are
classified into documents, photos and video. Simply use the tabs in the top bar to go to the file
listing of each of the categories. The document area even has the Cover Flow interface for the
users to swiftly browse files.
When browsing files, tap on the filename in the listing to preview its contents in the preview
window. To open a document, either tap on the filename or on the preview window.

In “PHOTO”, the preview window fully displays the contents to help you quickly find the file you
want.
In “MEDIA”, the video can be previewed in the file listing page. Simply tap on the file to play it
right on the file listing page, or resize it by taping its bottom right corner.

(1) Create a new folder:
Under “My iPad”, tap on “Edit” in the upper right corner, the following screen will appear:
Now tap on the folder icon with a “+” in the upper left corner, a dialog box for creating a
new folder will appear.

Enter the folder name and tap on “Done” in the lower right corner to finish creating a new
folder.

(2) Copying photos from Photo Album to OrganiDoc HD:
First, choose a folder under the photo area of “My iPad”, e.g., “disney pix” (which is empty).
Tap on the camera icon in the upper right corner and choose “Existing Photo” in the pop-up
box.

You will be taken to your photo album where you can select photos you want to copy. A red
check will appear on the photo when it’s selected successfully. Tap on “Done” after making
the selections.
After selecting photos, you will be taken to the original “disney pix” folder which was empty
and now populated with photos you just chose.

(3) Establishing multiple levels of folders
In any folder, tap on “Edit” in the upper right corner, then tap on the folder icon with a “+”
in the upper left corner, you will be prompted to create a new folder:

(4) Renaming a file:
Method 1:
Under “My iPad”, tap on “Edit” in the upper right corner. A row of options, including
“Rename”, will appear in the bottom of the page. A file has to be selected first before it can
be renamed. You can rename only one file at a time.

In the Rename File dialog box, after renaming the file, tap on “Done” on the keyboard to
finish.
Method 2:

Open a file, tap on the middle icon in the bottom as shown. A “Rename File” dialog box will
appear. Tap on “Done” on the keyboard to finish.

(5) Moving a file:
To move a file to another folder, tap on “Edit” in the upper right corner on the file listing
page, then select the file you want to move. Tap on “Move” in the bottom bar and choose
which folder to move to.

10. How to use “Protected File”? Setting the password:
Tap on the gear icon (Setting) in the OrganiDoc HD main page, a Setting dialog box will appear.
Go to “Protected File Passcode” to set or change the password.
Protecting a file:
Method 1:
Under “My iPad”, browse to the folder where the file resides. Tap on “Edit” in the upper right
corner :

Select the file you want to protect and tap on “Protected” in the bottom. Go to “Protected File”
area, you will see the file has been moved there.
Method 2:

Open the file you want to protect. Tap on the lock icon in the bottom, the file will be saved
immediately to the Protected File area.
Unlock a protected file:
Method 1:
To unlock a protected file, go to the “Protected File” area and tap on “Edit” in the upper right
corner:

Select the file you want to unlock and tap on “Un-Protected” in the bottom, the file will be
moved back to the “My iPad” area.
Method 2:

Open the protected file, tap on the unlock icon in the bottom bar, the file will be moved back to
the “My iPad” area.
11. How to decompress a file? OrganiDoc HD supports compressed file in rar and zip. Not only can you decompress an email
attachment from right within the mail, you can also decompress any file uploaded from PC to
iTunes.
Decompress an email attachment and save to OrganiDoc HD:
Open the email with the rar or zip attachment. Press and hold on the attachment for 2-3
seconds, an option of “Open in OrganiDoc HD” will appear. Choose any folder you want to save
it to. A dialog box with “Decompress File” will appear. Tap on it to immediately decompress.

After decompression, the original compressed file and the decompressed files will reside in the
same folder you previously chose.

Decompress a file uploaded to iTunes from PC:
Open iTunes on PC. Click on the “Apps” tab and scroll the page down. Drag and drop the
compressed file to the area under “OrganiDoc HD Documents”.

The files you select will be uploaded to your iPad automatically
Go to “My iPad”, you will see the compressed file has been transferred to OrganiDoc HD.
Tap on the compressed file. “Decompress File” will pop up as shown in the following screen.
Tap on “Decompress File”, and the decompressed files will appear in the same folder.
