Peace by Youth (PY) is registered under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Ordinance 1961, and is a non-profit, public benefit entity established in July 2011 as a humanitarian organization by a group of young social leaders & peace-builders from the local community of District Jacobabad, PY aims to serve humanity through capacity development thereby enabling young people to make decisions in accordance with their needs, and move towards peaceful socio-economic uplift.

Objectives

To endeavor to increase the capacity of youth to participate in decision making processes and services with confidence, equality, justice, self-reliant & pride.

To address human rights issues such as gender, social administration, and children’s labor and their rights by launching advocacy and lobbing campaigns, projects & programs promoting peace & harmony;

To work for the betterment of youth in order to enhance their capabilities and polish their skills so that they should play their vital role in the development of the nation.

To address the development issues such as empowerment, awareness, health, literacy, peace, tolerance and unemployment;

To endeavor to bring positive changes in the unjust socio-economic and political systems and cultural attitude for youth, women and children.

We are the young social leaders & peace-builders from the local community of District Jacobabad.

Who We Are?

PY works with objective to serve humanity in form of capacity building, generating environment to bring change in attitude & behavior of local community empowering youth. So the existing Socio condition paves way to new era. Organizing counseling sessions for adolescents and youth is our regular feature like all institutions. This enables us to take decision as per their need; which leads to Social-economic uplift, PY is working regularly on it with the support of its volunteers, members and donors.

PY works with young people to build their abilities so that they can lead in solving those challenges. Whether that means supporting communities to end child marriage or women empowerment, we work with young people to change their lives and the lives of people in their communities.

PY is formally registered, legal entity, In placed Governing Body, Organizational Organogram, Policies related to HR, Finance, Procurement, Child Safeguarding, Monitoring & Evaluation, Project Management defined, Use of Peachtree Accounting Software for generating required financial reports; and PY firmely believe in non-existence of any political affiliation of any nature.

Target PopulationsYoung people are our primary program participants. But we also focus backward community, women, diferently-able and minorities in our programs.

Financial SystemsPY is using Peachtree financial management software to maintain fiscal records. All vouchers are computer generated and recorded. Current financial management of PY has capacity to manage small and large grants.
