What does the organization do?

Opportunities for Youth

Youths can volunteer in teaching the Pupils at our Academy based inside Kibera Slums and other on-going Community interventions programs i.e Outreach, Awareness, School Based Programs, Debates, Community Foras, Commemorations, Income Generating Activities, Health Talks, Democratic and Governance trainings, Environmental Conservation

We provide Capacity Building Trainings, Food Security, HIV/Aids, Human Rights, Feeding the Aids Orphans, Civic Education, Education, Advocacy and Lobbying, Sponsorships, Environmental Conservation, Clean Ups, Networking, Collaborations, Mentorship of grassroots Youth Groups, Entrepreneurship..

AchievementsEstablished a children centre which now supports the destitute ones Has created HIV/AIDS awareness programme in the community Supported the people living with AIDS with food supplements through collaborating with HOYWIK Programmes.

ChallengesNo proper funding scheme for most of our programmes activities High level of poverty in the community due to poor socio-economic situation among the infected and affected families High level of community ignorance

Since Mr. Zachary of the HOYWIK

Programmes collaborating with HGEAD in support of Bumblebee Creative social Enterprise work in Kibera/Uthiru Villages with children, girls and women in difficulty trying to help them cope with an oppressive life, which does not recognize their right to study. The HGEAD/ Bumblebee offer them the opportunity to go to school and learn skills to find a job and become independent sales of craft raising funds. These children's have proved to be proficient and have shown a great desire to continue in their studies.

The sponsored girls have been selected on two main criteria which are: their social situation (family income, family situation…) and their previous school results. Through home visits and casual discussions the HGEAD also tried to determine which Orphans were the most willing to go back to school and the most likely to succeed, so that the program would be more effective. These orphans' come from extremely poor families: the parents, when they are still alive, are unemployed or do casual work. All the money they earn is dedicated to food since the families are often very large with an average of 6 children in each family.

Sponsor a child if you want to take part in our scholarship program and help one of the orphans and by making them dream of being a doctor, a lawyer or a nurse, come true. We’ll forward you letters, school reports and pictures of your “sponsored Child”. Mr Zachary Ngare The Director and the children's thank all those who will offer them a chance for a better life.

These situations often lead to divorce or alcoholism, which deprive the children from a safe and loving environment. They should focus on their studies and ask themselves what are their plans for the future, and yet they have to look for a job or take care of the younger siblings to help the parents. For the next academic year which begins in January 2010, 10 more orphans have asked us to help them in enrolling in primary and secondary school, With only 260 Euro or equivalent we can send a child to primary or secondary school and offer her an alternative to poverty by helping her building a brilliant future!

VolunteersAt Compassion springs of hope centre children are exited when they find new fiends ,teachers and intern students who volunteer having good time with them over their stay in Kenya

We would likes to have a good network with international schools abroad to support our projects to save lives of these orphans in communities

We thank Director of Bumblebee creative Social enterprise/GDF for willing to support our programmes through handweavers Guild of east Africa and designers

We appeal to friends, organization and well wishers to network with us in various projects aboard
