The continued success of the OTA educational programming is dependent on industry education grants. OTA educational programs continue to grow in both quality and attendance.
OTA educational meetings and courses are developed and taught by some of the most highly regarded orthopaedic trauma surgeons in North America and Internationally (pulling from a membership base of over 2,000). The OTA has continued to expand educational offerings to reach trauma surgeons at every stage of their career.

Among the highest of priorities for the OTA is orthopaedic trauma research funding. The OTA funds trauma-related research projects to advance the treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal injury. All research grant applications are reviewed by the OTA Research Committee, and upon committee recommendation, are approved by the OTA Board of Directors.
