OUR ADVENT RETREAT The first of our three Wednesday Advent Retreat Evenings takes place next
Wednesday, Dec 4th beginning at 7.30pm. All are welcome to join us for this time of
prayer and reflection. Our guest speaker will be Eddie Stones from The Emmanuel House of Providence, Clonfert, Ballinasloe. The heart of Advent is the preparation we do to welcome Christ into our lives. Make our Parish Advent
Retreat part of your personal preparation for welcoming Christ this year.
ADVENT WREATH PRAYER Loving God, bless these candles and make them a sign of your love for us and our hope in you. As the light comes from them, may it guide us and brighten our way as we wait for your coming. May you bring light into our homes and families as we wait and prepare this Advent time. Amen.

All Welcome
Stay awake! ... Let us walk in the light of the Lord.
At the start of the Church’s year we enter the marvellous season of Advent with an exhortation to ‘stay awake’. We begin a time of preparation and
anticipation as we look forward to welcoming the Christ Child into the world at Christmas. Christ calls each of us today to be awake to his presence in every moment, so that we may stand ready to greet him when he comes again in glory. Throughout Advent, let us hold each
other in prayer. May Christ’s peace be upon us all and his light shine within our hearts, so that we too may
stand ready to greet him in all whom we meet.
