The God of Miracles
Every Sunday when we recite the Creed we say, God the Holy Spirit is Lord and Giver of Life. Life is a gift from God. The reason we exist and have purpose in this world is because God gave us life. Every time we wake up in the morning let us be thankful because we are alive and will face another day full of challenges and blessings. The life God gave is sacred and holy and we need to protect with every single breathe we have. It is only God who has the authority to give and take away.
The gospel for this Sunday is about celebration of life and new beginnings. The woman who suffers from bleeding was cured and given a new life of blessings and happiness. The daughter of Jairus was brought to life once more and given a new opportunity to grow up and live like all other children in their community. God will give us new beginnings and chances, even when we are still alive He will continue to resurrect us from our own slum-ber of despair, loneliness and discouragement. Jesus will always be here waiting for us. Like the woman who suffers from bleeding, we can touch His cloak and receive the miracle that we pray because God is the Divine being that cares and loves all.
