Our goals as we strive for excellence on campus:

• Provide a safe and healthy learning environment for all students and staff

• Meet the individual educational needs of every family

• Establish a schoolwide, user-friendly, one-stop virtual learning platform to support synchronous and asynchronous delivery of instruction

Our mission remains unchanged:We empower students to discover and live out their

God-given purpose.

Trinity Christian Academy, in compliance with CDC and our state and

our local health authorities, is committed to do our part to ensure a

clean and safe campus. Our shared responsibility in practicing and

promoting healthy habits during this season include:

ROUTINE CLEANING

• New cleaning products, advanced protocols, and disinfecting equipment will be utilized in the daily cleaning of the entire facility throughout the school day and after hours.

TRAINING

• Teachers and students will be trained in the best preventative methods and practices for personal hygiene. Hand sanitizer stations will be conveniently located near every instructional space.

SAFE DISTANCING

• Reasonable preventative measures will include:

minimalized foot traffic patterns; utilization of student

seating charts and appropriate spacing whenever

feasible; managed group interaction during recess,

lunch and hallway transitions; organization of students

in cohorts or classroom pods as much as possible.

OUR SHARED RESPONSIBILITY IN PREVENTATIVE FACE COVERING

• In classrooms where the square footage allows for

distancing, masks will not be required.

• In high traffic spaces, a face covering must be worn by

all staff and students.

• Face coverings are required upon arrival and departure

from campus.

• All visitors will be directed to designated locations and

will be required to wear a mask/face covering.

• Where reasonable distancing is not feasible, a face

covering must be worn; both face masks and neck

gaiters are acceptable.

• Face coverings will not be required if written

permission from a doctor is received.

• Face coverings will not be required in P.E., recess, band,

music and other classes in which the facial covering is

an obvious impediment to learning activities.

Food Services/Dining Commons

• Lower Division will have the option to bring their own lunch or purchase the Meal Plan. Lunch will be in their classroom pods. Microwaves will not be available for student use. Details for purchasing a Meal Plan will be made available to you online in the coming days.

• Upper Division will have the option to purchase the Meal Plan for breakfast, lunch or both, or they can bring their own lunch. Lunch times will be on a modified rotational schedule to include delivered classroom lunches and/or “distanced” dining in the Dining Commons. Microwaves will not be available for student use. Details for purchasing a Meal Plan for your student will be made available to you online in the coming days.

TCA Conqueror Sports, Clubs and After-School Care

• Aligning with the Florida High School Athletics Association (FHSAA), all Conqueror athletic teams have extensive procedures and protocols for practices and for competitions.

• A full calendar menu of CDC compliant after-school activities and after care solutions will be offered for students throughout the year.

Option A:CLASSES ON CAMPUS*

• All instruction will be conducted at their normal locations on campus. Our capacity to remain in this optimal format is the goal of our shared efforts.

• Google Classroom will be TCA’s Learning Management System for on and off campus convenience and communication.

*Parents, if your student is not able to return to an on-campus learning environment, please contact your division office to determine alternative options for your student.

Option B:9 Week Virtual Learning

Limited availability

• This is an option made available on a case by case basis depending upon the grade level and academic needs of the student.

• Students will participate in both asynchronous and synchronous learning through their individualized Google Classroom.

• It is essentially online-at-home learning, with direct instruction from the classroom, to which the student will return to the classroom after nine weeks. Tuition rates are the same because we are reserving a seat for the student when they are ready to return to the on-campus environment.

• Priority must be reserved for TCA families in a high-risk category (respiratory conditions, an at-risk family member, etc.)

Option C:Incidental Virtual Learning

• This would be an option for an individual and/or small group of students and would be for a defined duration of time in the event individual students must self-isolate/stay home. Students will participate in both asynchronous and synchronous learning through their individualized Google Classroom.

Option D:Schoolwide Virtual Learning

• This involves a schoolwide pivot to our Learning Management System and would be an on-demand event where our local health authority mandates a shift to at home learning.

• The time period would be determined by a checklist of health and safety measures to ensure a safe return to all facilities.

• In this event, The Google Educational Suite/Classroom will be the platform for delivery of all instruction. This is a one stop destination for every TCA family. Students will participate in both asynchronous and synchronous learning through their individualized Google Classroom.

Academic Progress Monitoring

TCA is committing time and resources for additional support and analysis of student progress in the areas of math and reading. Please be aware that some routine assessments will not be part of a traditional report card, but will be used instead as an instrument to inform and shape instruction, pacing and review of critical learning for each grade level.

Page 12: Our mission remains unchanged: We empower students to ... · • Google Classroom will be TCA’s Learning Management System for on and off campus convenience and communication. *Parents,

• Daily Screening - all staff and students must have a temperature reading less than 100.4F upon arrival and/or at any point during the day. Teachers will be trained to identify symptoms; students presenting any symptoms of illness will be sent to the school clinic.

• TCA has a fulltime nurse on site who will manage every health concern for teachers and students.

• Hallways and transition times will be closely supervised by staff and administration to ensure compliance with face coverings.

• Non-essential visitors will be limited and, if permitted on campus, will be screened and required to wear a mask for the duration of their time on campus.

• Parents and legal guardians must wear a mask at all times while on campus.

Training - All staff will be trained in screening procedures.

Page 13: Our mission remains unchanged: We empower students to ... · • Google Classroom will be TCA’s Learning Management System for on and off campus convenience and communication. *Parents,

• Any individual with a temperature of 100.4F or higher or presenting symptoms will be

isolated until he/she can be sent home.

• Any student or staff member suspected of having COVID-19 or reporting exposure to

COVID-19 must self-quarantine at home and undergo COVID testing. The student or staff

member may not return to campus until he/she has tested negative for COVID-19 and/or

has remained in quarantine for 14 days. The school nurse in conjunction with the division

office will manage each case.
