Our Photographic Selection and location

Blackpool

We are aiming to use shots like these two continuously in the video as we feel this creates the pacific ambience we are looking for. I am going to use one of these shots for my album cover as I feel these two images I have taken, are using the surroundings of a beach, which is our central location. I feel this location represents the feeling of being isolated and represents the album name “so messed up”

I have chosen not to use this pacific picture as it has a dark shadow above the picture which I feel looks unprofessional and wouldn’t be a valuable image. This is the type of image in which I am looking for to produce the sea/sand visual image on the front cover.

I like this particular image as it associates a sense of reality with both the sea and amusements of Blackpool but I feel this image isn't of the best quality and this is a shot I would most likely use in the video itself.

I have chosen to show these images together as for my album cover I feel wouldn't be appropriate image I am looking for as I want a more focussed image rather than a view or arguably a piece of art. These shots again are some of things I will choose to include in my music video as I feel these images represent the isolation of the beach.

From looking at these two pictures you can see that the visual quality isn't very high. Due to the weather the pictures where out of focus and for these reasons could obviously not be used on the front cover of the album or advertisement as it would look unprofessional.

We have chosen these particular shots as these specific locations are the ones we are aiming to use to order to create variety amongst our video.
