Today’s readings explain who the Holy Spirit is, what His roles are and how we can experience Him in our daily lives. BIBLE READINGS ACTS 8:5-8, 14-17 The first reading describes how the Holy Spirit helped Philip, the Deacon, to preach powerfully and convert the Samaritans in large numbers. It also explains how the baptized Samaritans received a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit through the imposition of hands by the apostles Peter and John. Responsorial Psalm R. The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. 1 PT 3:15-18 In the second reading, Peter shows us the God-fearing lives the Holy Spirit makes it possible for us believers to live in the midst of opposition and persecution. JN 14:15-21 Today’s Gospel describes the gift Jesus will ask the Father to send, the Holy Spirit, Who will live as the Paraclete, the Divine Advocate, in those who obey Jesus’ commandments, especially the commandment of love. Thus, Jesus will continue to live in his believers with the indwelling Father and Holy Spirit, so that we will not be left as orphans. ENTRANCE HYMN (Acts 1:3; Psalm 68:20) V. He presented Himself alive to them by many proofs after He had suffered, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God. Alleluia. R. Blessed be the Lord day by day, God, our salvation, Who carries us. Alleluia. V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, R. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Gospel JN 14:15-21 A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John. Jesus said to his disciples: "If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always, the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows him. But you know him, because he remains with you, and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. In a little while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me, because I live and you will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father and you are in me and I in you. Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him." The Gospel of the Lord.

On Sundays, right after Mass, before the final blessing the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary, litany of Loreto will be recited. ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION Most loving Jesus, I adore You in the Most Blessed Sacrament, in Which You are truly present. I love You above all things and I long for You in my soul. Since I cannot receive You sacramentally, I ask You to come spiritually into my heart and heal my soul. I embrace You and unite myself with You; may I never be separated from You. Inflame my heart with the fire of Your love, my Lord and Savior. MASS ONLINE ON YOUTUBE For some people using Zoom is very complicated.
