The Narberth Community C h r i s t m a ~service in the Methodis t Parish Hal l las tSunday evening was a success from everypo int of view. Pund wlH'1I ska ting there last, Fridaynight r('sulted in a overnight visit to theBryn Mawr Hospi tal for Howard Wilson, IS, SOli of ,,11'. and Mrs. 1. N. \Vilson, of 220 Dudley Avenue, Narberth.\Vi lson was knocked unconscious fortwenty minutes , when he lost his balance and s tr uc k the back of his h ead onthe ice. It was thought at the time hemight have suffered a fracture of theskull , but X-ray examination at the hospital showed no damage, outside of abump, was done and he was releasedSaturday morning. He is a soccer player at Lower Merion.

Entertain BoysAt its meeting on Tuesday, the Bala

Cynwyd-Narberth Rotary Cluh gaveits annual boys' Christmas party. Theyoungsters, from less fortunte familiesin the section covered by the club, wereserved a t urkey d inne r and other entertainment was provided, Th e meeting was in charge of Ezra S. Deubler ,a former president of the club.

The best indicat ion of appreciationfor one's effor ts i s usual ly found in arequest for a return engagement. AtEaster time in 1929 Prof. Han'ey I."learns attracted such a gathering atthe old building of t he Met ho di stChurch that people had to be turnedaway. S in ce the dedication of the newchurch, it has only been a matter off inding a convenient time for anotherappearance, and the arrangements havenow been made. 1Ir. Mearns will beth e s ol ois t o n a s pecial program to begiven by the choir Sunday evening at7:45.As on the other occasion, Mr. Mearnswill entertain wi th three novel instruments, the Swiss Hand Bells, TubularHarp and Annklong Chimes. To thosewho heard the first concert , no descr iption or comment is necessary, but tothe many who could not get in or havenot had the privi lege of hearing thisunusual form of mus ic a word will behelpful.Probably the least known of the

th re e a re t he Swiss Hand Bells, whichwill be used in playing "Silent Night"and "Bells of St. Mary's." Th e techn ique in this mus ic is comparable tothe tone of the bells themselves, and itis n o smal l part of the enjoyment tofollow the skillful handling of the instruments. The tubular harp is l es s famil ia r beC:Just' of its limited range and usefulness. but with such numbers as "The

Palms," "The Holy City" and "PerfectDay ," t he player can bring ou t it s unusual tone effects in a very enterta in-

Award Bids TonightA special meeting of Council will beheld tonight at Elm Hall for the purposeof awarding contrac ts to the successfulh idder s for the collection of ashes andgarbage during 1931. No other businesswill be transacted.

,BE IT RESOLVED: that I will keep my house evenlyheated, shovel less coal an d ash than heretofore, anddo all these things at less cos t by burning JeddoHighlal1d Coal, the outstanding anthracite since 1858because of its uniform, high quality.

WHEREAS; during pas t years I have fed my furnacemany kinds of coal, andWHEREAS; my home, in consequence , has been atvarious temperatures-not at the even heat so necessary to my hea lth and comfor t , andWHEREAS; this is an unnecessary and costly hardship which may be readi ly remedied,

When cold, frosty days mean a cold engine an d a coldstar t - then you need Texaco-Ethyl, th e "dry", antiknock gasoline. Fo r the gasoline base is Texaco, th eoriginal "dry" gas. Because it vaporizes readily, formsa "dry" gas, it starts with the first few turns of th estarter--no matter how cold the weather. Cold startsare quick starts with Texaco-Ethyl! The anti-knocksmoothness-the added pep and flexibility are th e premiums that Texaco-Ethyl gives you.

"Check Chart" climil1ates guesswork at the greaserack, insuring a complete and scientifically correctlubrication for the entire chassis an d mo tor ofevery American-built passenger car. And the priceis only onc dollar ($1.00).
