Lori had an idea. She wanted to open a small vintage shop and have a workshop in the back. “Hey! Surely a shed like that would work,” Lori thought one day as she drove by the local shed dealer. One with the look and feel of a cabin would fit perfectly in her wooded, rural backyard. She stopped at the shed lot and began asking questions. Nothing they had in stock matched the style Lori was envisioning in her mind. Over the next several days, Lori toured multiple shed yards and found nothing.

“If only I could find a decently priced shed built with quality.” Lori wiped the sweat off her brow as she pulled into another shed lot. Everlast Portable Buildings, the sign read. At that moment, something told Lori her search might be over.

At Lori’s request, Everlast workers gave her a tour of their workshop. The shop fairly sparkled as she walked through. The pop of air nailers echoed through the building as the builders constructed a shed. After the tour, Lori sat down with one of the salesmen to talk.

Lori began to describe her vision. “I would like a cabin with a front porch but not a standard front porch. Could I have the door centered with a window on each side?”

“Absolutely,” he answered.

“What about four windows on each side of the building? I want to let in plen-ty of natural light.”

“No problem.”

“Could my windows be larger than standard windows?”

“Certainly.”

“I have some vintage ceiling tile sheets I’d like to use for a high ceiling. Could we find a way to use them without cutting them?”

“We can probably raise the ceiling height and incorporate those into the design easily,” was the reply.

“What about barn doors in the back for loading furniture?” Lori asked. “And one more thing. I need as much natural light as possible in my workshop area. Could we install screen doors on the barn doors so I can keep them open? I don’t want my cabin full of flies and spiders.”

This was a new request for Everlast, but again, she was assured it was no problem.

“Well, that went smoothly,” Lori thought as she drove home from Everlast. “I basically designed the building myself. The quality is exceptional, and the price is comparable to some of the others I was looking at.”As the delivery date approached, Lori stopped by Everlast to check the progress of the building. The workers greeted her warmly at the door and showed Lori her nearly completed shed. “It’s perfect!” Lori exclaimed.

The shed was delivered to Lori’s wooded backyard right on time. Lori dis-cussed with Everlast how she should finish the inside. When everything was in order, they handed Lori the keys to her new cabin.

Lori and her husband finished up the inside by running electrical wiring, putting in insulation, hanging drywall, and putting in the rusty corrugated tin ceiling. They installed a furnace, A/C, and even a satellite TV.

“It’s exactly how I imagined!” Lori exclaimed to her husband, admiring the newly completed cabin. “I love it!”

Would you like your building placed directly on the ground? This is possible with our pressure treated foundation beams or “skids” and a Lifetime Warranty against decay and termites. As long as your site is reasonably level, we will supply shims and some blocking to fine-tune the levelness.

However, for better support and to discourage varmints from bur-rowing, a rock or cement pad is a wise choice. Simply give us a call or talk to your sales rep for a price quote. Just as a precaution, check with your local zoning department or HOA to ensure that the shed you choose will meet their standard, and that you know their rules re-garding shed placement on your property. Your new building will be delivered with our specially designed shed handling equip-ment. It will arrive on a tilting bed trailer and will be unloaded in the street or on your driveway. We’ll then use our mule to maneuver it into position on your property. With it’s compact size and flotation tires, the mule does quite well in tight situations or with damp ground conditions. However, we WILL NEED A CLEAR PATH 2' wider and 16" higher than your building in order to bring it in prebuilt. No access room? Have it built on-site!
