Danielson’s 3c. Engaging Students in Learning We will continue to do so this week with the same focus.
Best Practices This Week: Mullen3c. Engaging Students in Learning
Ms. Mullen did a great job introducing standards 7.G.A.3 describe the 2-dimensional figures that result from slicing a 3-dimensional figures. Ms.Mullen made the real world
connection to the students by utilizing their prior knowledge of fruit ninja. Students then created 3-D figures out of playdough and "fruit ninjad" the figures to determine the cross sections. The students developed a deep understanding of the standard and
were engaged the entire time. Amazing work Ms. Mullen!
Musical Moment of the Week
This week in 3rd grade general music, students worked on their
ability to read and write music in the treble clef, which we use for many instruments. For example, we use
the treble clef to read the right hand line while playing the keyboard.
Here is Khydeem working hard on his music reading and writing!
