RAY’S REMARKS:
What a blessing it was this past Sunday to gather as God’s peoplebefore His throne. It was great to have so many present to worship Godand we were blessed with several visitors as well. It has been excitingto me to see our college folks back with us. I always miss them over thesummer months! It’s also nice to have a few new faces visiting with uswho are also in Springfield for college. What a blessing it is to have alike precious faith with others who share the one true faith of God. Isn’tit great to be a Christian! We also want to remember those who responded this past Sun-day. Sister Clista Krebs came forward asking for prayers to be a betterChristian, as well as to be a better example and influence on her family. She is having some struggles right now in her life. Let’s keep her inprayer before God’s throne. We also had sister Marcella come forwardasking for prayers as well as forgiveness if she has offended anyone. It is truly a great blessing to have the throne of God to approach in suchtimes of need. Furthermore, how encouraging to have our churchfamily there to help, as well as praying for us. It’s hard to believe, but brother Brent and I will be leaving forGhana two weeks from today (Wednesday). We still have a lot to do inpreparation. We continue to solicit your prayers in relationship to thetrip. I also want to thank many of you who have already helped towardspecial needs with the trip. Obviously, the more money we are able totake, the more we are able to do for the sake of our brethren withspecific needs when we arrive. I am looking forward to seeing ourbrethren there and know that God will bless us as we do His will! Well, I hope you have a great weekend. Cindy, the kids and I willactually be visiting her parents for the holiday weekend. A big thanksto Dad who will be preaching for me Sunday morning and brother Allenwho will give a report on his work in Costa Rica Sunday evening. I hopeyou have a wonderful Lord’s day. We’ll miss you all and God bless!
