It will showcase collections from the fashion industries in Kenya. It will highlight the strategic potential of the creative sector, especially designs, to generate new jobs, incomes and better livelihoods as well as promote sustainable use of natural ingredients from its rich biodiversity. The show will demonstrate Kenya’s creativity, entrepreneurship and how fashion and biodiversity linkages, including ethical and ecological chic fashion, is having an impact on people’s lives. The event will contribute to raising the visibility of innovative and creative Kenyan designers, artisans and local brands; strengthening the capacities and competitiveness of Kenya’s creative products for trade and sustainable development, especially for SMEs; promoting partnerships and new initiatives in the Kenyan creative industries; and influencing consumer values and aspirations for local products.
