Small scale customers

(households)

•DR Group without HEMS (69 households)

• Electricity price at level 5 is ¥150/kWh.

• Load of “DR” is lower than that of “No DR” during peak time.

• At the mid night, that relation is opposite.

• DR shifts the load from expensive time to inexpensive time.

3. Conclusions

14

1. DR field test is conducted at Kitakyushu project

2. Test for Small scale customers:

(1) DR with Dynamic Pricing reduced peak demand by 9% to13%

The more expensive Dynamic Price is set, the further load is saved.

(2) DR shifts Load from expensive time to inexpensive time.

(3) DR with Dynamic Pricing is effective for load saving and load shifting.

3. Test for Large scale customers:

(1) Load with EMS was shifted from expensive time to inexpensive time

Load without EMS wasn’t shifted.

(2) Large scale customers are so busy working that they are not able to

reduce load manually.

(3) It is necessary to use EMS in order to reduce load at peak time.
