Game Description Controlling the planet Earth, you must fight against the destructive powers of the human race as they wreak environmental havoc and destroy your Ozone.

Page 3: Ozone (Game Design Pitch)

Character PCIn Ozone, players get to take control of the planet. This will present the player with unique movement abilities, not typically found in video games.

Character NPCThe primary non-playable characters found in this game are the Human Race, an AI-controlled parasitic species that consumes all of the natural resources in their vicinity.

Overarching Narrative • The player embarks on a turn-based strategy

adventure that will require logistical and problem-solving skills.

• Starting with the Industrial Revolution, humanity has exponentially spread across the globe, consuming resources, and causing incalculable damage to the environment.

• As a host to these parasites, you must make strategic decisions to hinder your pending doom!

Page 6: Ozone (Game Design Pitch)

Gameplay• As the planet Earth, you will have control over nature and unleash

hurricanes, wildfires, and plagues upon the humans to prevent their parasitic growth.

• Alter the orbit of Earth around the sun, cooling or warming the globe. You can even plot a course with an asteroid as you struggle to defend yourself.

Target Audience• Ideal Audience:

• Ozone will have an iOS App Store 12+ rating, targeted at both genders.

• Some mature themes and dark humor, thus not recommended for younger audiences.

• Required Skills: • There are several mental skills needed to play Ozone such as

cognitive thinking, strategy, puzzle solving, and basic understanding of S.T.E.M. fields.

• These skills are ideal for the target audience because those at least twelve years old are in peak mental capacity.

• School children in particular will be able to easily apply learned practices to the constructs of this game.

Probability

Chance: Ozone will run on chance-driven systems. Since the

game will be based on real-world sciences, there are always probabilities, variables, and outliers.

While players can expect a variety of widespread results, there will be trends and indicators before volatile events. The actual probability of outcomes will be spread over a relatively low range.

This range will not be made apparent to the player initially, thus presenting the player with a perceived high amount of chance.
