• Curated “The Family of Man” that documented the human experience with 508 photos from 68 countries and 273 photographers

• Known for large scale portraits of everyday genre scenes

• Gives narrative to documentary images as well as creates cinematic “doc” images

Ansel Adams (1902-1984)• Known for his large scale,

high contrast images of Yosemite National Park

• Shot with an 8x10 view camera

• Created the “Zone system” a way to determine depth and contrast in printing
