Innovating while respecting tradition is one of the secrets of longevity for a company and its products. Faram, thanks to its extensive experience in designing and producing partition walls, has produced P650, a new wall that originates from the well-established tradition of P600 but goes further, beyond experimentation.

This system is designed to compensate for both floor and ceiling unevenness during the installation phase. The vertical flexibility of the system allows it to accommodate up to an inch of unevenness in any place, while guaranteeing the traditional features of transparency and brightness of single glazed partitions. This system perfectly adapts to any type of working environment: executive and open plan offices or meeting rooms.

A patented transparent extruded polycarbonate joint, placed between glass panels, creates a sturdy and uninterrupted wall, guarantee-ing maximum transparency. Two and three way junctions have the same polycarbonate connecting system.

A coextruded rigid/soft PVC gasket guarantees optimum acoustic sealing along the whole wall perimeter. Hinged or sliding and solid or transparent doors complete the system.

The highly flexible adjusting system is the special feature of this wall: the top telescopic profile and the bottom levelling foot incorporated into the aluminum track guarantee an overall tolerance of ± 1” and the possibility to compensate any unevenness of the ceiling or the floor.

The P650 is designed to compensate both floor and ceiling unevenness during the installation phase. The vertical flexibility of the system allows it to accommodate up to an inch of unevenness in any place, while guaranteeing the traditional features of transparency and brightness of single glazed partitions. The nature of the partition also makes it possible to design any interior configurations, especially when the design requires dynamic interiors, free from the restraints of a rigid geometry.

The P650 system is able to ensure a high transparency and brightness, and at the same time discretion and privacy. The use of transparent polycarbonate profiles to join the glass panels along the vertical edges ensures structural continuity, acoustic insulation and an enhanced transparency.

Depending on design and customer needs, the glass panels can be surface treated in a variety of ways: silk-screen printing, acid-etching, sandblasting, films. Otherwise, it is possible to apply screening elements on the wall structure and modulate visual privacy, from minimum screening up to complete occlusion, without ever compromising the wall’s lightness and luminosity.

P650 TECHNICAL DATA

MAIN FEATURESThe P650 demountable partition is a 2” thick wall. It is available in full-height glazed version or in case of considerably high ceilings, available with an over panel transom made of a 4”x 2” extruded aluminum profile.Wall modules can be modified according to the requirements of each project.The main features of the wall are:

- a completely transparent and uninterrupted surface- a high tolerance (± 1”), built in leveling system

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTIONThe system is based on epoxy powder coated extruded aluminum profiles fixed to the floor and ceiling by special plugs. Two coextruded rigid/soft PVC gaskets ensure acoustic sealing along the wall perimeter.A second extruded aluminum profile, with a telescopic joint, and a self-leveling system, with a tolerance of ± 1” , allow to compensate ceiling or floor unevenness. Two snap on covers complete the track as-sembly.The height of the track can vary between 2 3/8” and 4 3/8”.The wall is based on glazed panels of tempered float glass, 1/2” thick. The panels are attached to the floor and ceiling by aluminum clamps which attach to the telescopic channels. The whole part is completed by an epoxy powder coated aluminum extruded finishing cover attached with snap on clips to the telescopic channel.The glazed panels are connected vertically by transparent polycarbonate strips featuring an adhesive acrylic foam that guarantees a perfect joint. The 90° and three-way junctions are also sealed with trans-parent polycarbonate profiles.Posts in epoxy powder coated extruded aluminum for 90° or three way connection to P500 are also available for an integrated system between different partition walls. The telescopic wall abutment made with epoxy powder coated extruded aluminum profile (section 2”x 2”) and press-folded sheet-steel, compensates any unevenness along the perimeter walls.

DOOR MODULE The following door modules are available:

- Hinged solid door, 1 9/16” thick, with bottom threshold; hinges with adjusting system; epoxy powder coated extruded aluminum door frame with jamb gaskets on three sides; lever handle with cylinder lock;- Hinged glazed door in tempered glass, 1/2” thick; hinges with adjusting system; epoxy powder coat-ed extruded aluminum door frame with jamb gaskets on three sides; lever handle with cylinder lock;- Sliding door in tempered glass, 1/2” thick, with epoxy powder coated steel vertical pull handle with vertical locking rod. Sliding rollers with nylon wheels on ball bearings.

Faram Holding and Furniture adheres to LEED standard guidelines for a reduced environmental impact. The products are manufactured within 500 miles of the project site for a minimum of 10% or 20% of the total value of the materials, based on cost.
