Objectives:The objective of this assignment was to help us to develop a logo from scratch and make it using vector graphics to make it look sharp.

Process:I took a basic circle shape for the ball and added bear claws it by using the pen tool and looking at a picture of a real bear claw. I then added the font over a white oval to make the text show better. I tried to curve the text to match the oval but it did not look that great and I did not use it. I then played with the color scheme to get the one that I liked and have now.

  • Title:Brochure for the fictional company One With Nature.

Description:The purpose of this project was to help us make a brochure for a fictional company and learn how to perfect the folds and layouts.

Programs:For this project we used Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator

    Date:July 12, 2015

Course:Comm 130 at Brigham Young University Idaho

    Instructor:Brother Joel Judkins

Objectives:The objective of this project was to help us create a brochure that not only captured peoples attention but also had them wanting to learn more. We created a new logo in the process and continues to follow the principles of design.

Process:Using InDesign I created guide lines that allowed the brochure to open in the middle and open like french doors. I then went into Illustrator and created a logo, knowing that I wanted it to be about hiking and the outdoors. I then got my layout out figured out quickly and from there everything else fell into place.

Why is hiking in Washington a good thing?

Washington is great place to nd natural beauty and nd the most that Mother Nature has to offer. Hiking not only helps strengthen your legs but it allows one to become free from the worldly things and trials that we face all around us. Out on the trials of Washington one will nd peace, serenity, and only emergency cell phone reception. This means that you will become disconnected from everyday life and feel the peace and beauty of everything around you. It is almost therapeutic in this sort of way. Imagine your stressful job and all of those burdens you feel, but once you hit the great outdoors and feel free, all of those burdens are now gone. They cannot hike with you. And with breathtaking scene like this how could you possibly feel stressed? So, what are you waiting for? Look for a hiking trail near you and get outside and enjoy the great outdoors!

    What is One With Nature?

One with Nature is a non-prot organization that dedicates itself to clearing out trails for local hikes all around the great state of Washington. We work hard to clear the trailheads of very state trail and park to ensure that the fellow hikers and outdoor men and women can enjoy the natural beautiful sites that the state of Washington has to offer.

    Why donate to our cause?

We take pride in keeping our state and its natural beauty at its very best. We dont only clear trail heads but we

also help and plant new trees and plants along the way, that way you and your friends dont have to venture far to see the wondrous beauty that

exists within the state of Washington. We also keep the trails at so there are no bumps along the way so you can actual look around

at the natural beauty instead of at your feet wondering if youre are going to trip over something.

Objectives:The objective of this assignment was to help use understand that even a basic program like word can be used to make a great ad that anybody could edit for future use.

  • Title:He Can Calm Our Most Fearsome Storms, a montage of Christ and a message of hope.

Description:The purpose of this project was to help us make a motivational poster using the blend tool in Adobe Photoshop.

Programs:To make this project we used Adobe Photoshop

    Date:May 31, 2015

Course:Comm 130 at Brigham Young University Idaho

    Instructor:Brother Joel Judkins

Objectives:The objective of this assignment was for us to take two or more images together and use the blend tool to make them a montage to help give us an idea of how montages are created. We commonly see these montages on social media sites.

Process:For this project I took the image of a stormy sea and a boat and positioned it so it would be more appealing and not trap the white space in it. I then inserted the picture of Christ and blended around his face. His clothing color already matched the color of the mast and that helped created unity in it. After doing that I started to play around with my quote and its position. Ultimately I chose the Sail font type because it brought the piece together.

  • Title:Heros get remembered, legends never die. A quote by Babe Ruth from the movie The Sandlot.

Description:The purpose of this assignment was to have us take a picture and add a saying to it all in Adobe Photoshop.

Programs:To make this project we used Adobe Photoshop.

    Date:May 24th, 2015

Course:Comm 130 at Brigham Young University Idaho

    Instructor:Brother Joel Judkins

Objectives:The objective of this assignment was to take a picture and use the program Adobe Photoshop to edit it and make it match a color scheme that really captures the audiences attention.

Process:My process while doing this project was to capture something that I love and for me that is baseball. So I took my glove and ball to the nearest park and then captured a picture that I felt brought a baseball feel and from there I watched the Sandlot to look for a quote and used Babe Ruths infamous quote. Then I used Photoshop to edit the colors and really bring out the vibrency that baseball brings out in me.

  • Title:Graduate Leadership Conference wants you!

Description:We were to make a flier for a fictional local conference.

Programs:To do this project we used Adobe InDesign

    Date:May 10. 2015

Course:Comm 130 at Brigham Young University Idaho

    Instructor:Brother Joel Judkins

Objectives:The objectives for this assignment were for us to use Adobe Indesign to make a layout for a flier that really fit the profile of a business conference that was being hosted here in Rexburg Idaho.

Process:I used both Adobe Illistutor and InDesign to do this project. I referred to my book FOCUS for ideas and also to friends who are in business. I felt like keeping the bigger image in the back would capture the attention of the audience and from there I tried to keep the look professional and used repeating shapes to keep the principles of design within the project. It was not my best work but I definietly learned from this experience and only got better from there.
