Asbestos bags

Given its hazardous nature, Asbestos must be packed in UN approved packaging bearingthe CDG hazard sign and with asbestos code information visible.

Asbestos should be double wrapped and normal accepted practice is to use a red inner bag(with the asbestos warning clearly printed on it) along with a clear outer bag.

Our Asbestos sack range is manufactured to rigorous quality standards and tested by PIRAInternational. Tough and durable, these sacks are produced with excellent sealing propertiesand excellent clarity of print. Sacks can be supplied in a small or large size,with heavy duty or extra heavy duty options available.

Fully UN certified to hold 18kg, these sacks are supplied in various carton sizes and also perpallet as required.

Block bottom bags

bpi.packaging offers a range of block bottom bags and sacks in various sizes. The flatbottom provides a stable base which aids the filling process and also allows the bag tostand upright during storage if required.

Block bottom sacks are a popular choice for powdered or granular products as the flatbottom reduces the risk of any content becoming trapped in the folds and creases of thebag.

Available from 200mm upwards our block bottom range can also be made to customerspecification. Printed options are available upon request.

Block bottom products come in a range of thickness and are widely used throughoutindustries such as medicine, agriculture and construction, where their open mouth facilitatesspeedy filling. The block shape of this particular sack type also provides pallet stabilityreducing the risk of slippage.

Box shaped covers

Bubble wrapTo protect items in transit and in storage,bpi.packaging offers a variety of bubble wrap productswhich help to protect goods from moisture, dust andother contaminates. Our tear resistant bubble wrap alsoprovides a degree of insulation against both cold and heat.Durable but lightweight, our bubble wrap is an ideal choice forprotecting goods of a variety of shapes and sizes.

Our standard stock range contains small bubble and large bubble options; however a widerrange of sizes is available on request. The small bubble option has bubbles of approximately10mm diameter by 3mm high and is used for most general packaging. The large bubbledimensions are approximately 20mm diameter and 7mm high and this product is ideal for fillinglarger spaces or protecting larger items.

bpi.packaging can supply a unique range ofbespoke box-shaped covers. These covers aremade to measure and can be used to protectgoods either in storage or transit and ensure they arekept dust-free and water-proofed.

The advantages of using such covers include the professionalappearance of goods in storage, helping to maintain brand image where goods are identifiable. Thenature of the bags is also advantageous as there are no creases or folds in the finished product.This ensures that there is no space for water to become trapped, or for gusting winds to catch.

As each cover is individually made to measure, there are no size limitations on these covers.

Layflat Tubing

For items of varying lengths or shapes,bpi.packaging offers a range of layflat tubing. To use, simply insert items into the tubing andthen cut to the required length. Both ends

should then be heat sealed, creating made-to-measure bags.

To effectively seal your goods at the bottom of pallets and offer enhanced protection,bpi.packaging supplies a range of pallet base sheets known as PalletMat.

These sheets:

‘Seal’ pallets – offering the ultimate protection

Prevent moisture, dirt and dust from getting inside and spoiling goods

Protect goods where clean storage or transit conditions cannot beguaranteed

Protect goods if pallets are exposed to the weather

PalletMat is practical as an alternative to cardboard protection due to being waterproof,reusable and hygienic, thanks to the lack of migratory fibres.

Available in a variety of sizes, PalletMat prevents nails or other sharp objects penetratinggoods through the base of pallets and the embossing on the film ensures a stable load.

Pharmasac

As its name suggests Pharmasac is a quality assured sack developed specifically for hygienecritical internal transfer applications. Pharmasac will protect products from contamination instorage or transit.

Manufactured by BPI to exacting standard using polymers that meet both EEC and FDArequirements the Pharmasac range can be manufactured to bespoke customer requirementsand, depending on a sufficient order quantity, it can be produced in the following formats:

Anti-Static

Anti-static additives can be added during production to reduce the levels of electricity andspark present in the filled sack to reduce the risk of explosion. This additive also ensuresthat materials do not stick to the surface of the sack.

High Slip

The Pharmasac range can be manufactured to a high slip level. This ensures a smoothersurface which will allow the contents to be easily and quickly released from the sack.

Additive Free

This reduces the risk of a chemical reaction if volatile substances are being packed withinthe sack

Poliboard from bpi.packaging is a 100% polypropylene extruded twin-walled board suitablefor use in numerous applications.

Resistant to moisture and chemical agents, Poliboard is suitable for use as:

A range of pallet hoods are available via bpi.packaging offering excellent load holdingcapabilities to optimise wrap integrity and pallet stability. Centre fold and gussetedoptions available.

The range has excellent puncture resistance and covers are supplied as clear film, eitherloose or on a roll. The standard range is a 115mµ film and covers Euro, UK and Agri pallets,with dimensions as follows:

Small bags

bpi.packaging offers a range of clear, open toppolythene bags to contain, protect and store ahost of products from dust, moisture or othercontaminates. These bags are available in differentthicknesses to suit different packing and storagerequirements.

Items of clothing, for example, can easily be packaged in a thinner grade of polythene whereheavier components would be more secure in a thicker, heavier-duty bag.

All of these bags are suitable for use with heat sealing equipment if required, but can alsosimply be secured with a cable tie fastener.

Strapping

To secure and stabilise loads, bpi.packagingoffers both hand and machine strapping in a

range of widths and breaking strains. Widelyused in applications such as securing pallets,

grouping goods for outdoor storage, bundling items andtheft resistance, these products are flexible, lightweight and easy to handle.

Tapes

bpi.packaging can supply a wide selection of tapes for various uses. These include browntape for packaging, coloured barrier tape and pre-printed tape bearing messages relating tosecurity, transit or other general information.

Available in clear or brown our packing tapes includes polypropylene and PVC options witha choice of adhesion levels. Our durable, tear-resistant polypropylene tapes provideexcellent value for money whilst our printable PVC products offer excellent tear-resistanceand good adhesion.

Stretchwrap

bpi.packaging offers an innovative range ofpallet stretchfilms for both hand and machineapplications. These advanced stretchfilmproducts offer load stability and product protectionduring both storage and transit in addition to animproved pallet presentation.

Available in a variety of thicknesses, lengths and widths, our stretch films offer excellentstrength and durability, impressive ease of use and consistency in application.

Hand Films

Our hand films give you the flexibility to wrap palletised loads wherever and whenever youneed to. These films also offer excellent puncture resistance and tack characteristics andcan be supplied on either regular or extended cores depending on your preference.

Machine Films - Cast

Whether you’re looking for outstanding pallet presentation, a quieter working environment orhigh performance and cost effectiveness, our range of machine cast films can meet yourneeds. As well as benchmark levels of cling, these films have the ability to stretch up to animpressive 300% and also offer exceptional clarity, which is particularly important where thereis a need to view the product or scan barcodes through the wrap.

Machine Films – Blown

Produced using the blown manufacturing process, this range delivers excellent strength andease of application. As well as the ability to stretch to up to 250%, our blown range benefitsfrom a high tack outer face and a low tack inner face to take maximum advantage of thedifferential tack. High slip versions are also available to help eliminate interpallet adhesion.

Top sheet

As well as supplying a range of heavy duty base sheets bpi.packaging offers a range of highquality top sheets that cover and protect goods by sealing the top of the pallet. Available in avariety of sizes these top sheets offer effective weather proofing when used in conjunctionwith a stretchwrap to seal pallets.

Offering excellent pallet protection BPI topsheets prevent moisture, dust and dirt gettinginside and contaminating goods.

Ideal for use where pallets are exposed to the elements, they help reduce spoilage particularlywhere clean storage or transit conditions cannot be guaranteed

Topsheets can be supplied either on the reel or in specific perforated lengths.

Other applications include use as dust covers for inside storage or as floor and furnitureprotection during decoration projects.

Totegard

If storing or transporting materials in tote bin containers, bpi.packaging offers Totegard as aneffective and hygienic protective solution. Manufactured using a polythene blend developedspecifically to give maximum flexibility and strength, Totegard tear-resistant covers willstretch to form a tight and reliable seal across the tote.

Supplied perforated on-the-reel for fast and effective dispensation, Totegard is beneficial tothose involved in operations such as in-house transfers, raw ingredient handling and thedispatch of prepared goods. Widely used in the food industry, the product is easy to applyand remains in place as long as required. Post use, simple removal and disposal means nofurther control or cleaning is required in comparison to rigid covers. Standard stock coloursinclude blue, red, yellow and green with others available on request.

Wallet covers

To protect and secure all sizes and types of documentation, bpi.packaging sells a completerange of wallet covers. These covers are produced using heavy duty polythene (175mµ or212mµ) to ensure items remain intact during storage and transportation.

In addition to the standard clear covers, our A4 range is also available to order in red, green,blue and gold. This allows for colour coding during storage, for example, to ensure itemscan be easily and quickly identified.
