Page Six—NEWS, Margaretville, N. Y. RCS Alumni Saw Changes in a Year Ploxibury, July 5. —Alumni from Roxbury centra school have gone far afield from their alma mater. The following re- port on alumni was given at the annuai alumni banquet June 16 at the Kass Inn by the associa- tion historian, Irma Mae Grif- fin; Three alumni have been re- ported dead since July 1972. Anna Cartwright O’Hara of the class of 1902, died at 87 in Albany in April. Alfred Mc- Call of the class of 1935 died at Cherry Valley May 17 and Lynn Cole Riveniburgh of the class of 1966 died May 25 ait Albany. The oldest living alumni is Beulah Keator Pingree of the class of 1901, who is still a patient at the Middlesex Falls nursing home at Melrose, Mass. The classes of 1899, 1900 and 1902 are all gone. Frank E. Booth of the class of 1904 was present at the din- ner. The class of 1913 had five graduates. Only Ruth Powell Devine of Albany is living. Several alumni graduated from schools of higher learning in the last year. Michael Hew- itt graduated from Oneonta State University college May 26. Donna Rae Gordon gradu- ated from Oneonta State May 26 and will study at Coopers- town for a master’s degree in folklore. Linda Purchell graduated in June from Albany State uni- versity. Gregg Bookhout grad- uated in June from Potsdam State University college school of music. Daniel Finch gradu- ated June 10 from Roberts Wes- leyan college at North Child. Jeffrey Lutz, Karen Cole and David Porter graduated in June from Delhi Tech. William R. Munro graduated in June from Herkimer Community college and will enter Cortland State University college. Mary Louise Munsell gradu- ated from Mohawk Community college June 3. Vicki Tisch- macher graduated from a five- year course at Albany Collie of Pharmacy and has a posi- tion at Painted Post. Frederick Lutz graduated from a five- year comse at AO nuq ^ CoHeee of Pharmacy and is working at Margaretville. Marriages of alumni within the last year include the fol- lowing: Roxanne Clark, 1972, and Robert J. Williams; Betsy Par- nell and Joseph lacovelli, both 1970; Sarah C. Haskin and Richard Hinkley, 1968; William R. Gilham, 1973, and Marlene Waterman; Donald Hadden Jr., 1963, and Evette Haley; Don- ald Rowe, 1970, and Sandra Tull; Eugene Rossmzin. 1972, and Lela Shultis; Barbara Slau- son, 1969, and Leonard McDon- ald of Halifax, Nova Scotia; Mark Poole, 1969, and Sherry Hinkley; Ann Catherine Kas- mer and Gary Doroski; Ellen Ford, 1971, and Chester Thor- ington 3d; James Davies, 1971, and Dorothy Shultz; Richard Wiedemann, 1966, and Joanne Cummings; Leslie J. George, 1972, and Sandra Bacon. Edith Casey, a former teach- er, died Oct. 25. Dr. Rudolph Blythe of the class of 1926 was given the out- standing alumnus award frran the Albany College of Phar- macy in 1972. Looking at the class of 1972 one year later finds Ernest S. Ballard working on the farm of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Ballard. Tim Beigman is road manager of a rock group, the Jasper; William Bergman, his brother, is work- ing for James Shook in car- pentry; Anne E. Bolger has had one year at Delhi Tech and plans to return another; Rich- ard Dennis Clark has been to Arizona, is home on a visit, but is going there again; Rox- anne Clark, now Mrs. Robert J. Williams of Sacramento, Calif., is home on a visit. Leslie James George is work- ing for the VAW Aluminum Co. at EllenviUe. A 127-acre farm overlooking the Pepacton reservoir on Dingle Hill road in the town of Andes, was sold last week to Arthur McCauley of New York City. The property includes a house and two barns, which were at one time part of the John Kilter farm. The sale was arranged through the Andes branch office of Rivers ReaJty of Delhi by Ronald Amberg, salesman. Belleayre, July 5—Last week’s floods were milder here than in neighboring communities. The most damage was done to hay crops and minor road washing. The covered bridge was again threatened, but still stands. RCS Alumni Saw Changes in a Year
