BOB MARGOLIN In North CarolinaSteady Rollin Records SRR001www.bobmargolin.com

Steady Rollin Bob Margolin set out to produce an offering of blues songs, both acoustic and electric, that he likes to play while relaxing at home in North

Carolina with his wife and his pets. The result is a genuine masterpiece of ballads, stories, and arrangement of originals and old favorites that will have you tapping your feet and singing along. This is mostly a collection of mellow, easy listening tunes that you would want to listen to after youve had a trying day and desire some decompression. His guitar prowess shines throughout the entire CD as you might expect from such a master.

The title cut In North Carolina reveals the motivation behind the CD: These blues have taken me to so many destinations, and now theres only one. Ive always liked the song Tears of Rage written by Bob Dylan and popularized by The Band on their signature work, Music from Big Pink. Margolin does the best version Ive ever heard on this CD, and I found myself replaying it over and over. I love the little ditty You Rascal You: Ill be standing on the corner high when they drag your body by, Ill be glad when youre dead, you rascal you. And the instrumentals Colleen and Floyds Guitar Blues will soon have you forgetting all your troubles.Any fan of Bob Margolin will like this CD. Any fan of mellow blue songs will like it, too.
