A stylish box made from two used shipping pallets which can serve as a lighting arrangement. This can be used indoors or outdoors.

The light and shadow effect created due to the slits between the pallets is poetic!

• Mark a line in the middle of each pallet dividing it into two equal parts.

• Two pallets of the same size are required for this project.

• Use a jigsaw to cut on the centre line.• You will get two parts as shown.

• Place these parts upright as shown.

• Repeat this procedure for the other pallet and so you will have four parts.

• Fix the parts together by using screws and power drill.

• Repeat the procedure to combine other parts till the four sides are done.

• Use screws at the top and bottom on each side.

This is how the box will look.

• Using a tape measure , check the size of the square and cut two pieces of plywood in the same size.

• Using screws fix one plywood piece to the box.• This will be the base. • So invert the box.

• Using just one screw , fix the other plywood piece on one corner.

• This will be the lid which can be twisted to open and close.
