  • 6. Troubleshooting

    I explain about troubleshooting

  • 6-1. Signal Trouble Cases Picture NG and Sound OKPicture OK and Sound NG Picture NG and Sound NG 1)2)3)We can classify the signal problem into three by checking whether Picture or Soundis abnormal. It is important to check whether both picture trouble and sound trouble occur, because we can judge the cause is panel or video processor or sound processor.

1.This is the method to find the defective board in the case of picture or sound trouble.2.You can classify the signal trouble into three kind by checking whether Picture or Sound is abnormal.3.These are "Picture NG and Sound OK", "Picture OK and Sound NG", and "Picture NG and Sound NG".4.It is important to check which the symptom is in three combinations on the chart. Because you can judge that the cause is panel or video processor or sound processor.

And, IRD9V & AUD12V is converted to 5V, 33V, and 8V.4.There are 3 differences from LXD60.5.1st, No IRD 9V and IRD 5V because LX60F/P doesn't have XV board.6.2nd, Audio SW (IC3300) is operated by 8V.7.3rd, NOT_STBY is used instead of IRD_PSU_ON.1.This is a diagram of LCD panel interface.2.VCTP converts video data to LVDS and outputs it to panel controller.3.LCD panel is operated by 24V and 5V. 4.VCTP outputs Inverter_OFF signal and the signal is inverted by Q952. Inverter board works by it.5. BackLight_PWM signal output by VCTP passes Level transfer and controls LCD backlights.I explain about protection circuit.Protection Circuit prevents damages by over-voltage or by short-circuiting.1.This shows Power LED situation and the condition in the case of power trouble.2.There is only one situation.3.When 8V or 5V or 33V or 3.3V becomes down, or 8V or 5V or STB 3.3V becomes over-voltage, the voltage of 7pin of VCTP becomes low. And, TV set changes standby mode and Power LED starts blinking.4.In this situation, you judge the defective board is probably P, A or B board.1.This chart shows the operation of the protection circuit in A board.2.Each D3862, D3864 and D3863 detect over-voltage of STB3.3V, 8V and 5V.3.Each D3865, D3866, D3871 and D3867 detect short-circuiting of 8V, 5V, 3.3V and 33V.4.When one of these voltages becomes over-voltage, the base voltage of Q3862 becomes high.5.And, when one of the other voltages becomes short-circuiting, the base voltage of Q3861 becomes low.6.Then, Q3860 is turned on and PROTECT signal of 7pin of VCTP becomes low.7.And, red LED starts blinking and TV changes standby mode.I explain about troubleshooting1.This is the method to find the defective board in the case of picture or sound trouble.2.You can classify the signal trouble into three kind by checking whether Picture or Sound is abnormal.3.These are "Picture NG and Sound OK", "Picture OK and Sound NG", and "Picture NG and Sound NG".4.It is important to check which the symptom is in three combinations on the chart. Because you can judge that the cause is panel or video processor or sound processor.1.This is the case of picture NG and sound OK for LXD60.2.You need to consider video signal flow in this figure.1.This is the case of picture NG and sound OK for LX60F/P.2.The checking method is almost the same as LXD60.1.This is the case of picture NG and sound OK for LXD60.2.You need to consider audio signal flow in this figure.3.1st, please check whether all input sound sources are NG or not.4.If Yes, Speaker or MSP (Multi Sound Processor) in VCTP or Audio amplifier IC on A board is defective.5.2nd, please check Headphone or Audio out Sound NG ? 6.If Yes, VCTP on A board is defective.7.If No, Audio amplifier IC on A board or speaker is defective.

1.This is the case of picture OK and sound NG for LX60F/P2.The checking method is almost the same as LXD60.1.This is the case of picture NG and sound NG for LXD60.2.You need to consider both video signal flow and audio signal flow in this figure.1.This is the case of picture NG and sound NG for LX60F/P.2.The checking method is almost the same as LXD60.1.This chart shows trouble shooting of LED blink power problem in the case of LXD60.2.This case is that 8V or 5V or 33V or 3.3V is short-circuited or 8V or 5V or STB3.3V is over-voltage.3.1st, please check Remove B board. After Power SW ON, Power comes up ?4.If Yes, B board is defective, because 33V or 5V is short-circuited on B board.5.If No, secondly please check Disconnect P2 or A7. Power SW ON. 24V output of P2s 10 pin and 12V output of P2s 20~22 pin before Shutdown ?6.If No, P board is defective, because P board doesnt output 24V or 10V.7.If Yes, A board is NG.1.This is trouble shooting of LED blink power problem in the case of LX60F/P.2.Its same as LXD60.I explain about service information.1.This page shows the information of Self Check.2.You can check the situation of some ICs connected through IIC bus line by using Self Check.3.The method of entering Self Check is same as LX50.4.Basically, OK in green or NG in red is displayed with Self Check.5.If NG, someone of ICs are wrong.6.Meaning of the items are shown in the table 1.1.In this page, I explain about voltage confirmation.2.This table shows test points and output specifications of all converted voltages in condition of ON and standby.3.Please refer to the table if you check these voltages.I explain about typical trouble shooting.
