Q1:- According to geological data the location of a well is determined and the strata sequence is expected as following:-

Density of soil bulk 2 g/ cc, air density 1.2g/L, gas density 0.8 ppg. Porosity of soil, sandstone and limestone assumed to be:-
=0.4 - 0.002*SNS - depth/30,000 Average porosity of each layer must be used (in the med of the layer) Formation fluid density bellow 850 ft level assumed to be:-
= 1.03 +0.0005*SNS g/cc Oil/ gas contact level = 4300 ft, water/oil contact level = 4600 ft Mud system volume =1000 bbl., only 500 sacks of bentonite and 10000
sacks of barite are available. Bentonite is a clay type material .
Required:-
1. Draw mud weight window MWW from 0 to 5000ft with detailed calculations :
- Actual formation fluid pressure line 2 degree- Actual overburden pressure line 3 degree- Pressure gradient lines of your proposed drilling muds for
drilling 0-3900ft and 4000ft to 5000 ft intervals 1 degree2. Where do you suppose to set surface casing? 0.5 degree3. Prepare adequate quantities of mud for drilling 0-3900ft and 4000ft to
5000 ft intervals. 3.5 degree
