Mrs. Joyce GordonArticle by: Katie Muscatello, 6th Grade

Mrs. Gordon is an awesome teacher. Sheteaches Kindergarten. She has a Masters degree inelementary education and a bachelor's degree in sec-ondary education from Hyles-Anderson College. Herhometown is Fort Smith, Arkansas. She has fourkids, Logan, Mckenna, Zach, and Micaela. She alsohas a husband named Gil and they all live in Blacks-burg. Her birthday is January 20.

Her favorite thing about teaching is that shelikes how excited her Kindergarten students are to go

to school and how eager they are to learn. Her favor-

ite subject and favorite subject to teach, is math.

The reason she decided to become a teacher was

because she had an excellent math teacher that gave

her the eagerness to teach. The thing Mrs. Gordon

liked best about school was getting out for summer

break. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 14:40

Let all thingsbe done decently and in order be-

cause it helps her remember to do things one at a

time. Her hobbies are reading, running, and being

with children. Her favorite sports team is the Dallas

Cowboys. The food that she likes the most is nuts

and anything with nuts. Her favorite place to eat is

Texas Roadhouse. Mrs. Gordon hopes that her stu-

dents will learn that school can be fun, and to work

first, play later, and attitude is everything.
