Calculation per quadrant (Barrel)• 3 LV modules (A3003)/quadrant (6 EASY crate slots)• Current absorption calculations:

– 2 Lbboxes x 13 LBs = 26 LBs– 1 Lbbox x 15 LBs = 15 LBs– 41 LBs/quadrant– Current absorption: 14A/LB (estimation)– 14A x 41 LBs = 574 A/quadrant– We need 6 A3100 CAEN LV module (4 slots width each)– We need a total of 24 slots 1 + 1/5 EASY crates per

tower– This fit with the 2 x 6U crates foreseen for RPC.

ConclusionsConclusions

• We are ready for asking a cable PRR– we are just collecting all necessary documentations

• Before the end of this year we start tenders– this implies to know exactly total lengths

• Open issues:– Cable path (to be approved very soon)
