SCHOOL TIMINGS Grade VI – VII
Monday - Friday : 7.40 a.m to 2.30 p.m First and Third Saturdays – 7.40a.m to 12.15 p.m (Half day)
Second and Fourth Saturdays will be observed as holidays.
Grade 8 will have full day school on the first, second and the third Saturday.

S.S ( Supervised study period )
One period of every working day will be devoted to
supervised study period.
The class educator will make sure that the students
complete their written work & also brush up over their grey
areas related to academics in the S.S periods.
The Class educators will take regular feedback from the
subject educators for proper & total grooming of their
adopted children .

Objectives
Generate liking for sports & arts .
Analyze the liking and enhance for excellence in the areas
of sports & arts.
With this perspective the students from Grade I-III are
exposed to all activities .
According to their area of interest & proper observations &
guidance from the activity educators the students are
allowed to select one Art & one Sport activity in class IV
which they will pursue upto Grade X.

Students who are found to have extra Zeal in the field of
art & sports will be given supervised & proper guidance by
the experts in these fields in the Ashoka Academy which has
begun from the 20th June 2013. the students get extra time to
sharpen their expertise.
Academy timings 2.45 p.m. – 4.00 p.m.
Fees : Rs. 550 per month ( to be paid for 8 months in advance )
Transport facility will be given to the students who avail
school transport.

Activity for Grade IV-VII
Each student will choose two activitiesthroughout the year and he will continuethe same in the succeeding sessions.
For grade IV-VIII dedicated 3 hours (180minutes) spread out over the week will begiven.
The activities will be suspended duringSemester exams only.

DISCIPLINE POLICY FOR STUDENTS
1. Students should reach the school by 7.40 a.m. well dressed in theircomplete Uniform with tie, belt, polished shoes, and I-card.
2. Students’ hair should be properly oiled, combed & boys should have asoldier cut & girls to have 1 pony with appropriate colour hair band.
3. Students should not wear sleeveless and short clothes on birthdays andother special days.
4. Students are not permitted to use two wheeler vehicles to come to schoolor to attend outside competitions.
5. Mobiles, Ipods, transistors, watch, money and other Fancy Accessoriesare not allowed in the school premises.
6. Students who do not avail the school transport facility should leave thecampus immediately after the school.
7. Students, who stay back in school for extra practices of sports, shouldmake arrangements for their own transport.
8. Parents will have to bear the expenses incurred for the damages causedby their wards.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS
Show respect and support for your child, theeducators, and the school.
Do not talk ill about any educator or schoolauthority in front of the students.
Have positive attitude towards the schooland co-operate with the teachers towardsthe betterment of the student.
Develop reading habit in your child byexample.
Support the school’s discipline policy. Encourage the child to be regular and
punctual in attending the school.

DISCIPLINE POLICY FOR STUDENTS RED DOT SYSTEM FOR DISCIPLINE IN THE CLASSROOM. Red dot will be given to the child for any kind of
Misbehavior in the classroom , corridors , dinning halland in the school premises.
After 6 RED DOTS Parents will be informed by theauthorities and strict disciplinary action will betaken by the school authorities for the seventh reddot in the form of Suspension for 3 days , which mayextend for 15 days if no improvement is found in thechild behavior .
The parent will be responsible for completion of thesyllabus missed by the ward during the suspensionperiod.
No corporal punishment will given by the schoolauthorities.

DISCIPLINARY ACTION:-
If students are late, they will be sent homeafter three late marks and proper enquirythrough communication with the parents in thediary.
Transport facility will be cancelled if thestudent misbehaves in the school bus.
Any damage to the school property will beborne by the parents (in cash or repairing cost).
English communication will be strictly observed:- educators will not respond to the student whocommunicate in Hindi.

BIRTHDAY POLICY Birthday Chocolates should not cost more than Rs. 2/- or any
chocolate equivalent to éclairs.
No birthday celebration/Parties of students & Educators by thestudents in the class rooms.
No return gifts & birthday gift should be exchanged between theEducators & the students in the class.
Students should wear decent birthday dresses.
Any child with indecent birthday dress from Grade IV onwards (Sleeveless , Short skirts, body hugging dress, transparent dress)will be sent back home to change the dress.
Note : No parent will exchange any gift or favours from any of theeducators and authorities of the school.

ADOPTION POLICY• ““A teacher’s purpose is not to create students in his own image but to develop
students who can create their own image”.The class educator will adopt all the 30 students of her class.
• Children will be observed on daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• The class educator will interact with the parents every fortnightly or asand when need arises.
• The educator will maintain all the records of the student in a prescribedformat and note down her observations accordingly.
• At the end of the session the entire records will be handed over to theeducator of the next class.
• Accordingly the entire PROFILE of the student will be kept by the school.
• The class educator will maintain Case Study .
• The parents to inform their ward to discuss their problems if any with theclass educator.

Revised Guide Lines For Formation And Functions OF Parents Teachers Associations
In the Primary / Secondary Schools.
(Vide G.R. No. SSN. 1099 /(27-99) / SE-2 Dated. 22: 05: 2000)
1 .Every parent should be a member of the Parents Teacher Association.
2. Every recognized primary school of secondary school in the state of Maharashtra
whether aided or unaided should from PTA within 30 days from the commencements of
new academic year.
3. Executive Committee of PTA should be selected democratically within two weeks from the
formation of PTA. Notice of the meeting called for this purpose should be served to all
concerning people one week before the meeting day.
4. Education officer / Inspector shall ensure that every Executive Committee of the PTA has
been elected democratically.
5.Executive Committee of PTA shall consist of the following:
Chairperson – Head Master / Mistress
Vice Chairperson – one from the parents
Secretary – one from the teachers
Joint Secretary
(1) One from parents and
(2) One from the students.

Members
(a) One teacher from each division and
(b) One parent from each division.
The tenure of the executive Committee shall be one year only. After the
completion of his tenure of one year. No office bearer member (parent or
teacher) of the PTA shall hold any office bearing post for the period of 5 years.
Meeting of the Executive Committee should be held once in a month.

PROCEDURE OF ELECTING A P.E.A MEMBERS
• Interested parents to give their nominationsto the class educator immediately after thepresentation.
• Parents to vote for the nominatedcandidates contesting for the P.E.A. for thecurrent session .
• Every parent can vote only for onenominated candidate .
• A person who has been a pea member in thepervious years cannot be nominated again asa pea member.
