Thanks to our parents . . .

Approximately 30% of our parents responded to this survey. This is extremely low. We do not find the results to be statistically significant due to the low participation rate. However, in an effort to be open and transparent, we share the results.

Proceed through this presentation to see a summary of the results. Each question is answered on a scale of 1 – 4 (1 – poor, 2 – needs improvement, 3 – good, 4 – very good).

In additional to these questions, parents included helpful comments.

At SSB, staff, students, and parents answer quality assurance surveys each year. The results from these surveys provide valuable feedback to our administration and School Board when planning strategically for the future of our school.

Your feedback is always welcome.

Analysis of results

The results in this survey show that parents feel encouraged to become engaged in our school, many parents chose not to respond. The low rate of participation makes interpreting the results difficult.

Although SSB received a positive inspection report from Sweden and the IBO during this school year, our inspection report from Norway was negative.

To fully comply with all national laws and regulations, SSB has undergone a comprehensive reorganization during this school year, separating the Norwegian school from the rest of our school.

This reorganization has caused worry and anxiety for all SSB parents, not just our Norwegian parents. In addition, this reorganization has caused the school administration to prioritize administrative tasks over pedagogical development. We see the results of this transition in this survey.

The reorganization was finalized on April 29th. SSB and SSB Norway’s board and administration are now refocused on developing our school to be the best it can be . . .
