Mission Statement As a faith-filled Christian Community we are committed to building up the Body of Christ and strengthening the Kingdom of God. Through diverse ministries, we share our many gifts to respond to the needs within and outside our Parish Community. Confident in our strengths and aware of our weaknesses, we enter into collaboration with other communities to deepen our relationship with Jesus and one another. By fulfilling our pastoral, sacramental, and educational needs, we, as a Eucharistic Church, work to proclaim the message and presence of the risen Lord.
Sacrament of Baptism Parents wishing to have their children baptized must attend an instruction which is offered once a month. Please call the Parish Office to make arrangements.

PARISH MEETING THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH
AT 6:30PM IN THE CHURCH NOTE: FATHER MICHAEL PROMISES WE’LL BE OUT IN TIME FOR THE
PATS GAME!!
THANKSGIVING FOR ALL At times when we are
overwhelmed with financial needs,
health concerns, or family crisis,
even for a short time, it is helpful to
feel the care and concern of our
Parish Outreach Program.
Our Parish Family will be
providing Thanksgiving food
baskets to those in need. If our
parish family can help to carry your burden with this
outreach program, please call Betty at the Parish
Office, 978-342-2978, Ext. 105.
Baked with Love! For many years,
our parishioners have made homemade
pies to add to our Thanksgiving
Baskets. Can you help us continue this
tradition? Would you consider making
one extra pie when doing your holiday
baking? If you can help, sign-up sheets
are at the doors of the church. Join in making
Thanksgiving a little nicer for someone else. As we
get closer, someone will call you with the drop off
details.
Food Donations: To fill our
Thanksgiving Baskets, we are
asking for donations of the
following food items: cranberry
sauce, gravy, stuffing, potatoes, and
onions. We are also asking for
Grocery Store Gift Cards instead of
frozen turkeys. We continue our tradition of posting turkey cutouts
on the bulletin boards at the entrances of the
Church, listing specific items needed for our
baskets.
If you can help, please take a turkey cut-out and
return the item by 12 Noon on Sun., Nov. 19th.
Thank you!
32ND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
CONFIRMATION CANDIDATES, PARENTS, AND SPONSORS will gather next Sat., Nov. 18th at 11AM Mass to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Joseph’s Church in Fitchburg. Please pray for our 44 Candidates that they may be open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit throughout their lives. The Rehearsal for Confirmation will be held at St. Joseph’s Church at 7PM on Fri., Nov. 17th. Each Candidate should arrive with his or her sponsor (or the person standing in for your sponsor) by 6:45PM in the Church Hall at St. Joseph’s.
Father Carlos’ Pills of Faith “Therefore, stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour.” This is a clear invitation from Jesus to be vigilant at all times, paying
attention to what is important and necessary in our lives. How many times we tend to put off doing something because we think we are too busy. Many distractions, many worries, and earthly things takes us away from happiness, love, inner peace, away from the Kingdom of God. How many times we have said, “I will do it later when I have time.”? We say that regarding our daily tasks, but also, we apply this attitude to our Faith. “I will pray later. I will take care of my soul when I have the time. I do not have time to forgive, or call, or smile, or embrace. No time to share, no time for others and God” “I will do it later” We say. Jesus today is calling our attention, he is giving us a new opportunity to think about what is essential, necessary and important for us and our souls. Prayer and love should be at the top of our list. “Stay awake, be ready!” God’s call is urgent, in the here and now, in our current circumstances. Let us not sleep! How is Jesus asking us to get ready for his daily blessings and last his coming?
The High School Peer Retreat Team will
meet next Sunday, November 19th from
8:15-9:30AM. KINGDOM PIE SALE
In an effort to fund the Sixth
Grade Kingdom Assignment, our
8th grade students will be selling
apple pies after each Mass this
weekend! This is a great opportunity to
purchase a “made with love” pie to be
donated for one of our Thanksgiving baskets.
We thank you in advance for your support!

MINISTRIES IN ACTION ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES
SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING FOR CATECHISTS AND ALL VOLUNTEERS! Our diocesan policy requires that all those whose work brings them in contact with children receive Safe Environment Training. This applies to all Catechists, Aides, Eucharistic Ministers, Greeters, Lectors and volunteers who work at the Bazaar. Our parish requires that you fill out a CORI form each year (along with a copy of your driver’s license) and a one time only Code of Ministerial Conduct which can be found on the table outside the Religious Ed Office. To register for the online course, the Parish Course, or if you have any questions, please call Lisa Sciacca at the Religious Ed. Office, or [email protected].
WHAT DO WE DO IF WE HAVE A
MEDICAL EMERGENCY DURING MASS?
With that question in mind, the parish is making plans to purchase 2 Automated External Defibrillators (AED) that will be located in the Church and Parish Center. In preparation for this purchase, the parish would like to gather a list of people who may be able to assist during a medical emergency. The parish is also planning to offer a CPR class, although the details are still being worked out.
