Wha t m akes our projects be participative?

W hat a re the conditions w e should assure for pa rticipative processes?

    W ho's envolved? How they're developed?

These are questions we intend to find answers.

Are there you're questions too? And your organisations'? Why not to join this group of 20

people from Portugal, Spain and Greece who will, during 12 months, dedicate themselves to

    exploring pontential answers?

    Aiming to:

    1. empower agents of social intervention, on the 3 partner countries, for the promotion of Participatory

Democracy as a factor of social inclusion and promotion of equal opportunities,

    2. support and potentially multiply participatory democracy based projects implemented on the 3 partner

    countries.

A group of 25 local intervention agents will think about their practices, taking advantage of a learning

    mechanism with the following dimensions:

a long term training course, taylor made, composed by 3 residential seminars

a virtual communication and learning plattform

local practice support in the shape of coaching and through transnational learning groups

a publication on participatory democracy and good practices

a final conference for sistematizing results

Based on a non formal education methodology, inspired by a set of pedagogical principles which envisage

to stimulate the criativity and critical thinking of the participants towards their personal and professional

experiences (learner centred; mutual learning strategy; safe learning environment; combination of

methods; experiential learning; integrated competence development), it is intended that the training inspecific and the project as a whole have themselves a participatory structure, with the contents defined

by the participants according to their needs, having as the underlying basis two matricial axes:

    Citizwnship, participation and participatory democracy;

    Netowrking, partnership and collective action.
