The Major County Sheriff of America (MCSA) is a professional association of elected sheriffs representing 103 counties or parishes with a population of 500,000 of more. We are dedicated to preserving the highest integrity in law enforcement as our membership serves more than 120 million Americans.

We are committed to promoting a greater understanding of law enforcement strategies which address current and future challenges facing the members of our association.

This is a special partnership affording educational organizations the opportunity to reach our members with unique University programs.

A learning partner must offer not only education sessions, but undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Institutions interested in this partnership will be evaluated by the MCSA Board for approval to achieve designation as an MCSA Educational Partner. Part of this review involves meeting national or regional accreditation criteria.

The partnership fee to become an educational partner is $2,500 on an annual basis. Additional financial support may be provided to become a higher-level partner, which provides enhanced benefits.

MCSA 2020 MILESTONES

The Major County Sheriffs of America had several significant accomplishments in 2020 including

• The number of MCSA member offices increased to 103 offices nationwide, representing 120 million Americans;

• The MCSA Executive Board added 4 regional national representatives;

• MCSA held a successful Winter Conference with our membership and included a partner roundtable;

• MCSA co-sponsored a series of COVID-19 webinars with the National Commission on Correctional Healthcare; and,

• MCSA held four highly successful national regional virtual meetings.

The Major County Sheriffs of America could not have obtained these, and other, achievements during the year without the financial investment of our corporate partners! MCSA gives our partner companies one-on-one interaction with our membership in unstructured environments. These interactions and our corporate relationships are valued by the membership. As we move toward 2020, MCSA looks to expand on our corporate sponsorships as we are “Leading the Way for a Safer America.”
