Johnny B’s performance goes far outside the bounds of a musical performance. It is a wonderful and moving story
of a life committed to the outdoors, education and music. The footage of wilderness scenes is spectacular and
the accompanying music adds even more. Johnny B is a passionate performer, but he is wise enough to let the
wilderness and Alaska deliver their own powerful message.

Classically trained while heavily influenced by jazz, boogie-woogie, the environment, and wildlife, Johnny B. has been performing professionally and composing music since 1972. His touring began in 1979 after finishing the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
A grandfather of two, Johnny B. has lived in Alaska since 1981. That year he met his wife in the potato salad line at the Talkeetna Moose Dropping Festival. His many years of travel visiting our national parks throughout America and the beauty of Alaska have served as inspiration for his on-stage performances as well as his musical compositions.
Johnny B. spends the summer performing at Pier One Theatre on the Spit in Homer, Alaska. During the fall and spring he schedules performances throughout the “Lower 48.”
In addition to his evening community performance, Johnny B. has a special outreach program for senior centers and his award-winning school assembly has been experienced by thousands upon thousands of students across America.
