“You made a way through the seaand paths through the deep water, but Your footprints were not seen. You led Your people like a flock

by using Moses and Aaron."psalm 77:19-20

The Same God Who Led You In, Will Lead You Out It wasn't until a few years ago after reading a little book called "The Red Sea Rules" that I fully understood the reasoning behind God parting the Red sea that miraculous day thousands of years ago.

Couldn't He have just spoken the mountains to crumble down on the Egyptian soldiers? Couldn't He have just sent the Israelites a different direction? Couldn't it have been handled a whole lot less stressfully? Yep.....most definitely. Instead, He chose to use Water.......and like Jack said last week in his sermon, the "waters" of this earth are out to drown you.

The winds blew hard that day....the sea split....and right before their eyes, the wa-ters turned into towering walls and the Israelites walked on dry-ground to safety. Oh what I would do to have been a bug on the wall that day! I wonder if they wor-ried about the water crashing down on them halfway across? I wonder if they fully understood the magnitude of what was happening? There were hundreds of thou-sands, possibly millions, of Israelites and they couldn't all have witnessed moses lifting his staff and praying, right? What about the 876,000th person to cross? I bet they felt their adrenalin kick in as the earth shook from the chariots and horses on their heels. I wonder if they looked back....

"This happened not for the entertainment value of the experience, but to pROVE to them, and us, in earthshaking, history-making fashion that, even when we are most anxious and distressed, God will make a way when there seems to be no way."* Now friends, let's make this real...place YOUR name in that sentence......

"________, even when YOU are most anxious and distressed, God will make a way when there seems to be no way."

Two thousand years later, our life is no less stressed and hard than those who nervously ran across dry ground to safety that day. God delivered the Israelites.....He will deliver you from YOUR Red sea, too.

so, take a deep breath and remember this deeper secret of our Christian life: when you are in a difficult place, realize that the Lord either placed you there or allowed you to be there, for reasons perhaps only known (for now) to Him. He allows our faith to be tried and He permits troubles to be a part of our lives. But He has prom-ised never to leave you nor forsake you and will never, never, ever abandon you. sometimes our Red sea....the worst moments of ourlives.....becomes our greatest moments.

The same God who led you In, will lead you Out. It's your choice to Panic....or Pray.
