You sit comfortably in front of the RTA and placeyour chin on a chin rest.

The evaluation takes only 1-2 minutes and does

not require pupil dilation or any physical

contact with your eye.

A bright light is reflected into your eye while

the RTA takes a photo and scans the back of

your eye.

THE The RTA is a diagnostic tool used by your eyecare practitioner to assess the health of your

retina (the tissue in the back of your eye that

changes light into electrical impulses) and

optic nerve (that transmits the electrical

impulses to the brain).

The RTA photographs and scans the back of

your eye and a software algorithm converts

the information into color photos and 2 and

3 dimensional thickness and topography maps

of your retina and optic nerve.

These maps help your eye care practitioner

detect anatomical damage caused by

diseases, affecting the retina and optic nerve,

before symptoms occur. It also enables reliablefollow up and tracking of disease progression.
