slip stitch the 3" opening closed.

- Topstitch the circles fol-lowing one of these two options:* Option 1—Edgestitch

the outer edge of the circle using a scant 1/4".

* Option 2—Stitch a series of circles using the Circles Sew Simple Tool: ° Find the center of the finished circle by folding

the circle in fourths and marking the center on the backing side of the circle with an erasable marking pen.

- Divide the six 8" circles into two sets of three circles, alternating colors: * Stack one set with Fabric A, Fabric B, and Fabric A.

The other stack will be Fabric B, Fabric A, and Fabric B.

- Stitch the two stack sets together, using one of the two following options:* Option 1—Hand tack the circles:

° Fold back the top two and bottom two circles so that the two center circles (one Fabric A and one Fabric B) are together. Hand tack the two center circles together very close to the stitched inner seam. Stitch three tacks; one tack at each end and oneinthecenter.Repeatthisontheothersideofthe inner seam.

° Repeatthestepsaboveforthe6"balland4"ball.* Option 2—Bartack the circles using the sewing

machine: ° Set the sewing machine to create a bartack and

change the presser foot if needed.° Fold back the top two and bottom two circles so

that the center two circles (one Fabric A and one Fabric B) are together. Machine tack the two circles together very close to the stitched inner
