Last Minute Halloween Ideas

Election day is Tuesday, November 4. A major question for our special elec-

tion ballot is whether to vote yes or no to extend the existing CGB property tax referen-

dum for an additional ten years.

According to Superintendent Phil Grant in a letter to all CGB parents informing

them about the referendum: “There will be no new taxes. Passing the referendum would

lock in extra state aid for CGB all ten years. Because of that extra state aid, property taxes

would go down a bit. Passing the referendum would yield $400,000 in revenue per year.

Not passing the referendum would mean cuts in programs and personnel.”

Kayla’s Favorite Athlete: Coach Christensen

Kayla’s favorite athlete is the assistant coach for football and track, and the gym and

health teacher too! In High School, Coach C. was in wrestling, track and football (his favorite)

where he was a running back and linebacker. He is a big believer in studying game film, and

started the practice back in high school.

For luck, he always carried a quarter, dime, nickel and penny

in his pocket because he was number 41 and it equals $0.41! His

sports idols are Brian Urlacher and Mike Allsot. His favorite profes-

sional sports moment was game seven of the 1991 World Series. His favorite sports

moment from high school was playing in the 2000 State Championship football

game with his brother.

As an Assistant Football Coach, his favorite Wolverine sports moment was

the 2012 state win, but he is also really excited for tomorrow’s Section Champion-

ship game against Edgerton!

Scary Movie

Jokes and Riddles By: Morgan Nordly

The Fosters By: Sam Bauer By: Hannah Breeggemann

Halloween is tomorrow and if you don’t go

trick-or-treating, you’ll probably want a scary movie to

curl up and watch like the classic, Scary Movie.

Scary Movie is a 2000 movie that makes fun of

all of the previous scary movies, like Scream, Blair Witch Project, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Sixth Sense and more. It makes no sense and

there is no story line really; it is just meant to be funny.

I don’t want to spoil the ending for those of

you who haven’t watched it, but there are four movies

in the Scary Movie franchise, so if you like the first

one, don’t worry to much about who “dies.” Until you

watch the next Scary Movie, you just never know . . .

The Fosters is a family made up of adopted

children and lesbian mothers. They have five chil-

dren named Brandon, Jesus, Mariana, Callie and

Jude. The mothers’ names are Lena and Stef. Lena

is the vice principal at the high school and Stef is a

police officer.

It airs on the ABC Family network at 8:00

on Mondays. The second season should be coming

out soon; all we can do now is wait.

It is a very upbeat and action-packed show.

There is always something exciting happening or

going to happen. The Fosters never leave you disap-

pointed!

Q: Why didn’t the skeleton want

to go to school?

A: His heart wasn’t in it

Q: What do you call a fat pumpkin?

A: A plumpkin

Q: What do ghosts use to wash their hair?

A: Shamboo! “Mommy, everyone says

I look like a we

rewolf.”

“Please be quiet

and comb your f

ace.”

Q: When is it bad luck to be

followed by a black cat?

A: When you’re a mouse.
