Bom dia pessoal,. Segue algumas dicas que fui tendo ao longo dos meus 3 anos de mondeo. Bileta da barra estabilizadora traseira, quando a borracha estiver gasta compre a do Santana custa R$ 3,50.Bileta da barra dianteira custa R$ 41,00 o par!, normamente precisa trocar quando fazer girar o volante no máximo faz um barrulho como se estive-se pegando em algo.Buchas da barra estabilizadora traseira usa a do Logus mesmo diametro e de boa qualidade custa em torno de R$ 4,00 cada.Bomba Dágua a E-peças vende a peça da China de ótima qualidade custa R$ 138,00 a nacional mais barata que tem custa R$ 350,00.Embreagem do mondeo a Autopeças Dragão na Feguesia do ó vende a peça importada da Italia por r$ 350,00 a nacional mais barata que tem custa R$ 650,00.Regulador de pressão de combustivel a Horizonte auto peças vende por R$ 52,00 de ótima qualidade ajustavel até 5bar de pressão.Filtro do ar condicionado, não consegui encontrar em nenhuma loja em são paulo, eu encontrei no mercadolivre um cara do Paraná que vende custa R$ 25,00 mais o valor frete, vale a pena comprar.Disco e pastilhas o melhor preço que eu encontrei foi no mercadocar na barra funda o disco R$ 117,00 as pastilhas cobrec R$ 42,00.Bobina de ignição a Horizonte auto peças vende um modelo por R$ 89,00 vale a pena pois a magnet marelli custa R$ 250,00 na Brascap na R. américo brasiliense pois é melhor lugar pra comprar peças.Sonda lambda a mesma custa R$ 86,00 na Brascap na r. Américo Brasiliense.

Olá Douglas, Eu fiz o meu recondicionado pela Fênix não tive problemas, durante 3 anos sem problemas, agora fiz novamente acho que o preço do recondicionado vale a pena, pois os originais são muito caros.Quanto ao Kit esta com um preço legal, pois somente o coxim com o rolamento custa R$ 120,00 o mais barato em São Paulo, a Automessa em SP vende este kit se não me engano é por r$ 145,00 entra no google e pesquisa por automessa , também uma autopeças somente vende peças para Carros FORD chama-se Auto peças Dragão trabalha com toda linha de importados, também pesquise no google pelo nome que vc encontrará o contato dos mesmos. Abraço Renato Mondeo GLX 1997Tuning é nosso prazer!!

Again, this is a problem common to most Mondeo's and is one of the first things to look for if your heater fan isn't working.

Ok so your heater fan is only working on number 4 and no other? Perhaps it's working on some settings but not all? Expensive job for a garage to identify and cure the fault....

No it isn't, check this before anything else and you could be on your way to saving another fortune! On the passengers side front of the car, above the foot-well, you will see some insulation that looks like carpet. Below and right of the glovebox. You can remove this by pulling out the four little plastic plugs that hold it up in position. Once you remove that, you will see the air flow box at the front of the car. On that black plastic air-flow conduit, you will see a white square held in with a T25 Torx screw.

The replacement from Ford is:

Make sure the ignition is off or better still, disconnect the battery of the car then, remove the Torx screw and lift it up and pull toward you and it will come free. If the plug and or wire is burnt, you will have to change this unit. You can find them on ebay regularly or from your favourite scrappy but, if you buy a new one from Ford, it will last a few years for sure.

This is what it looks like out of it's home.

I got one off Ebay and it had different wire colouring. In case you do the same, these are the wires to join.

Car wire colour Mauve and yellow stripe to plug wire, black with yellow stripe.Car wire colour Mauve to plug wire colour, black with blue stripe.Car wire colour Mauve with white stripe to plug wire BlackCar wire colour White with red stripe to plug wire colour black with white stripe.

These wires carry a lot of amps when in use so make sure you make these connections nice and tight. Some people insist on soldering them then taping them up. I used butt crimps as I have the correct crimpers not the cheap ones, then taped them with electricians tape to make good.

This is a common fault on Mk1 mondeos and some Mk2's although corrected for later Mk2's.

The heater resistor pack (also referred to as the resistor control pack) control's the speed of the cabin fan. At positions 1 and 4 the pack is bypassed, however when the select switch is in position 2 or 3 the excess power is directed through a resistor which enables the fan to spin at a slower speed. If your fan isn't working when on positions 2 and 3 (although sometimes 1 and 4 are also effected) or if you have recently noticed a strange burning smell / smoke coming from the passenger side footwell then chances are your control pack is on the way out.

You need:

Insulating Tape Wire Cutters Thorx Screwdrivers Soldering / Crimping Equipment

You may need:

No other equipment required

The first thing to do is remove the glovebox and sound deadening foam to gain access. To remove the glovebox open it and then tug sharply toward the rear of the vehicle. The sound deadening may or may not be in place and you may or may not have to remove it to get complete access.

With the box removed you can see the heater resistor pack (Labeled A above). The pack is screwed to the bulkhead with a single thorx screw. Unscrew and withdraw the pack.

This image shows the state of the existing pack and wiring connector. You can clearly see where the wiring connector has burnt and melted the plastic. Use the wire cutters to chop the old resistor pack AND connector off. You should be aiming

to cut about 4 CM back from the old plug although if there is heat damage to the cable at this point cut as far back as required.

Next you need to solder or crimp on the new wiring connector assembly. Match each colour up and solder or crimp it to the existing cable. Two points here, 1) Use an old rag when soldering to stop any unwanted splashes of solder melting your carpet and 2) These cables carry a significant amount of current. They must me soldered or crimped into position ("chocolate" screw down boxes will also do). Never just twist them together!!!

Finally insulate each connection separately using as much tape as required to ensure they never come into contact with each other. Connect your new resistor pack to your new connector and reattach it to the bulkhead.

tinha deixado como último cartucho, na esperança de encontrar o tal conector, o seu

testemunho de que ficou melhor que o original é de muita valia. Muito obrigado pela dica. A

barca agora vai para a oficina, fazer uma checagem de suspensão dianteira e traseira.

meu conector estava derretido. Se não me engano ele era formado de 4 contatos em formato

quadrado. Nem procurei pois sabia que não ia encontrar. Peguei 4 terminais "faston" da mesma

largura do original, prensei com um alicate um fio em cada terminal, coloquei 1 a 1 no

respectivo conector e pronto. Não gastei nem 1 real e ficou melhor (mais resistente) que o

novo.

Como mostrado no link que me enviou, meu regulador está igualzinho, totalmente torrado, e

junto com ele o conector em petição de miséria. O regulador encontrei na concessionária por

R$79,20, mas o conector está sendo uma cruzada mesopotâmica...não se acha em lojas de

auto-elétrico, nem de ar condicionado, todos me dizem para procurar um desmanche.

O manual que baixei, pensei que estava na íntegra, mas falta os capitulos do cambio manual e

automático, ele é muito grande para upload, o yahoo não permitiu devido ao tamanho, vou

quebrar o arquivo e enviar assim que possível.
