FOREWORD

A warm welcome awaits you at the 2017 Autumn Rare & Native breed

sale with possibly the largest entry seen for this sale for many years.

The headline attraction for the cattle ring has to be the dispersal of the

‘Chapple’ herd of pedigree and registered Aberdeen Angus breeding cattle

together with another part dispersal of Shorthorn cattle from North

Devon.

In the sheep pens entries are really good with a vast range of breeds,

types and qualities with something there for everyone. This years special

show and sale of pedigree Devon and Cornwall Longwools will be the

first sale for the breed at the new Holsworthy Livestock Market and have

attracted a quality line up from well respected breeders from throughout

the region.

400 Lots of poultry, 150 pigs and some goats will also be present with the

auction getting underway at 10am.

have been back running with the pedigree bull and the quality and

temperament of the cattle is of the highest standard.

The cattle have been farmed on a very simple system on the farm near Dolton

and are sure to go forward and do well on their new homes.
