dsThe latest styles are at your door.
Tonal & MoodyToday’s homeowners are embracing deeper, darker colors to distinguish their homes. Rich greens, moody blues and dusky browns are dramatic-yet-sophisticated, bold-yet-inviting.
In addition, vertical siding has become the popular choice with a more robust color palette. Not only does it create an interrupted visual flow, vertical siding helps accent specific architectural details on your home’s exterior.

Scandinavian ChicFans of the “less is more” philosophy have found their home in this clean style. Don’t be fooled by its smooth lines and unmistakably modern-living vibe! This creative mingling of natural beauty and minimal design soothes the eye with every detail.
It’s here that black windows and doors add a graphic punch to cool-colored exteriors. Rooflines remain simple, while strategic outdoor lighting helps accent architectural details. Large doors, especially those with expansive glass, welcome natural light.
Wellness (Biophilia)The term “biophilia” describes a love of nature and its impact on well being. Homes with a biophilic design provide healthy living spaces that can help reduce problems like stress, fatigue and high blood pressure.
Look for expansive windows and large doors with glass that provide ample pass-through light, improved noise reduction, enhanced security and thermal comfort in a biophilic-friendly house. We’re happy to say our entry doors offer all of these options, not to mention impeccable style.
Modern Farmhouse (Reinterpreted)Today’s modern farmhouse remains a leading style trend that’s here to stay. But, homeowners are envisioning more than wrap-around porches, white board-and-batten siding and pointed roofs to complete their rural dream homes.
Enhancements like open-loft living spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, multi-level additions and uncommon building materials are changing the landscape. We have the entry door to meet the needs of your design style.

lChoosing the right material.A new entry door transforms your home. On the outside, it showcases a unique and welcoming character; inside it helps maintain comfort and protection. Find the ideal material for your dream door. Choose from high-performing fiberglass or steel.
FiberglassLow maintenance, high performanceOur fiberglass brings craftsmanship, flexibility and convenience right to your doorstep. Exceptionally durable, it is dent-resistant, won't rust or corrode and withstands extreme weather beautifully. Maintenance and upkeep is minimal, while performance is year-round reliable.
Choose from Mahogany-grain, Oak-grain, Fir-grain and Smooth fiberglass. Our broad range of panel styles, bold colors and finely crafted hardware allow you to customize the door design of your dreams.
Glass brings moreto your entry door.Adding glass to an entry door delivers clear benefits to traditional, transitional, modern and contemporary homes. Along with creating an eye-catching alternative to standard solid doors, glass helps let in natural light while still providing energy efficiency and maintaining privacy and security.
Pella offers three distinct categories of glass. They are easy to maintain and add lasting beauty to any door style.
Low-E Clear GlassThe clear, Low-E glass option that comes standard on most Pella entry doors features a high-tech coating that provides a clear view out of and into your entryway, plus a lot more. In cold weather, Low-E glass can help reduce heat loss by reflecting it back into the home. In warm weather, it effectively reflects the sun’s rays to help keep the home’s interior cool. Energy-efficient Low-E coating also helps protect flooring and furniture from fade damage. Select impact options available.
Obscure Low-E GlassChoose from a variety of obscure Low-E glass featuring textured surfaces that allow light to enter, yet also help provide privacy. Our assortment of obscure glass is available in a range of privacy levels. Select impact options available.
Decorative GlassThis option is undeniably beautiful, but practical, too. Our wide selection of patterns and styles is exclusive and features different sizes and types of glass to filter light and create privacy. Choose options ranging from modern and contemporary to traditional wrought-iron between the glass. Select impact options available.
SteelExceptionally strong, secure and durableSteel provides extra durability and peace of mind. One of the most weather-resistant materials available, steel showcases a sleek, clean look that increases safety and boosts curb appeal — season after season.
Versatility is also a major strength for our steel entry doors. Like our fiberglass designs, steel offers panel options that enhance your home’s unique look. In addition, steel takes on paint evenly, smoothly and beautifully.

1Determine current door size. To ensure proper performance, it is essential to get the correct measurements of the rough opening. There are three critical measurements to obtain: from the sill to the top of your door frame, the width of the door opening, and the wall depth. For reference, the most common size for an exterior door is 6'8”H x 36"W x 4 9/16"D. For more information on measuring for your new entry door, visit pella.com.
After identifying the essential features for your new door (energy efficiency, privacy, security) and selecting the ideal material, you’re ready for these easy steps. Let’s get you a door!
Choose glass, grilles and accessories. Based on panel selection, and if Low-E clear, obscure or even hand-assembled decorative glass are part of your desired aesthetic, we have accessories that enhance your vision. Add stylish grilles to create the look of divided light. Innovative, between-the-glass blinds help you adjust brightness and privacy levels.

You’re nearly at the threshold, but we need a few more specifics to help make your entry door dreams a reality. Gather the information below and you’ll be doormat shopping in no time.
Jot down a few measurements. Providing basic door measurements helps us create a more accurate cost estimate for your project. Follow these simple steps:
• Measure the width of the opening at the center, horizontally from one end of the rough opening to the other.
• Next, extend your tape measure vertically from the sub-floor to the header to get the rough opening height. Then, record the depth of the opening.
• Don't stress over your measurements! A certified Pella professional will confirm measurements and conduct an installation inspection of your home before any work starts.
Determine the “handing” of your door. This traditional industry term refers to the direction that your door swings. Knowing this info about your existing door tells us where to place the hinges, doorknobs and lockset on your new door.
• To determine the handing of an existing door, stand outside and face its exterior.
• If the hinges are on the left side, then you have a left-handed door that opens on the right side and swings left.
• If the hinges are on the right, you have a right-handed door that opens on the left side and swings to the right.
