Counselor Emergency Response Program (CERP) Notification Template and PeregrinLink Instructions

Directions for manual entry:

• In Column A, select applicable Creditor from Drop Down

• In Column B, no action needed. Data will auto populate based on Creditor selected in Column A

• In Column C, enter your agency’s Client ID. This ID is unique for each Client

• In Column D, enter the Primary Cardholder’s Name.

• In Column E, enter the Client’s Social Security Number without dashes

• In Column F, enter the Creditor’s account number without dashes

• In Column G, no action needed. Data will auto populate based after account number is entered

CERP Notification Template

• In Column H, select the CERP Hardship for the Client (see options below)

• In Column I, select the Program the Client will be enrolled in. (see options below)

• In Column J, enter the date the agency submitted initial proposal to creditor(s)

• In Column K, enter the hardship date

• In Column L, no action needed. Should default to “No”

• In Column M, enter any pertinent notes, if applicable. RPPS Trace ID (if applicable)

If you see this yellow band,click Enable Content

Directions for creating upload file for Peregrin:

1. At the bottom of the Excel screen, click on the “Create File” tab

2. On the Create File tab, click “Create Upload File”

3. A window will pop up and it will ask where to save the file to. Click to where you are saving the file to.

4. Please note where you save it to so you can easily find the file when attaching it in Peregrin. **

5. Click OK

6. A message will pop up saying the upload file was created and where you saved it to.

7. Click OK.

8. Log into Peregrin (see instructions on following slides)

**Please note: You will be NOT asked to create a filename. It will be autogenerated with the date and time

you created the file. Please DO NOT change the filename. (MM-DD-YYYY.HHMM.Peregrin_Cerp.xlsx).

Changing the filename may cause the file to not be processed by Peregrin.

3. A message will pop up confirming you want to clear the data

a) Click Yes or No

b) If you select Yes, the data will clear and take you to the first row of

the “Form” tab

Log In Screen

• Agency users will need Flash enabled on their computers for the site to work (an upgrade from Peregrin will be available soon that does not require Flash).

• The site will work best on Internet Explorer, or on other browsers with compatibility mode enabled to allow Flash to function.

choice of navigating to Peregrin Link

or Peregrin Manage

• Users should select Peregrin Link

• Some users will be taken to

Peregrin Manage by default

• Users should select “Go To

Peregrin Link” at the top of the

screen

1. Type “Peregrin” in the search box, then click “Filter”

2. Select the box next to the “Peregrin Cerp” contact

3. Click “Add/Remove Recipients”

This is the only address that can process CERP spreadsheets.

Do NOT send directly to Creditors.

1. Enter subject. The subject does not matter and will not be read, but the

message will not send with a blank subject field.

2. Click “Browse” and attach formatted CERP file

3. Enter message text. The text does not matter and will not be read, but the

message will not send with a blank text field.

4. Click “Send”. Message has been sent and can be seen in your “My Sent

Messages” box.

CERP Relief

• 1A Current DMP-EMS – client can’t afford normal DMP payment and is enrolled in EMS with reduced payment.

• 1B Current DMP—Deferral – client can’t afford normal DMP payment or any payment.

• 2A New DMP—Full Repayment – client enrolled in DMP and can afford Minimum Monthly Payment(MMP)

• 2B New DMP—Deferral – client can’t afford DMP payment or EMS payment, but can with future income plans. Immediate assistance is needed. Payment deferred for 2 months.
