Episode Tutorial 1: Getting Started on Periscope

Step 1: Download the Periscope App

Here’s your download link on iTunes.

And… drumroll!… Periscope is finally available on Android!

Here’s your download link on Google Play

If you do not have a Twitter account, do not log in with a phone number.

Create a twitter account and then log in to the Periscope App with Twitter

This will be an important piece in your network being able to find your Scope

Step 2: Log in with Twitter

Step 3: You are In, Navigate Around

The TV Icon is broadcasts for you to watchThe top will be who is Live that you follow or a followerthat shared a broadcast and the bottom will be recent 24 hour replays

This area will be blank until you start following people

Step 4: Location

The world icon will show you who is live where in the world

This is a great feature to use to find local Periscopers to build your network of followers.

Step 5: Live Broadcast

Your third icon is the broadcast icon and how you

GO LIVE!

Type your Title in “What are you seeing now?”-Use Emotis, Be Clever and Catchy and Use HashtagsThe arrow sets your location on or offLock allows you to do private broadcastsThe comment icon allows you turn comments off for unfollowersTwitter will auto post your broadcast to your Twitter- YES!

Step 6: People and Profile

The heads will take you to People and Your Profile

Click the top right head to see your profile and edit yoursettings.

Click the top left search to find people

Featured Scopes and Trending Scopes will be listed

Step 7: Settings

Very, Very Important!

Ensure in your settings that “Autosave Broadcasts” is turned on
